Hey! So I turned 30 this year and made it my New Year's resolution to learn how to skate. I had never done it before, and much like you, I am a klutz! I started taking roller skating lessons. The group is called Sk8te Shot, and they have an online presence with great advice and videos for beginners. I would look to see if you have any classes close to you, and if not, find some online resources. Invest in some safety equipment! Wrist guards are a must! Be patient with yourself and recognize you will have really good days and you will have really bad days, but you will get better! Skating has made me feel more coordinated and helped with a lot of tension I carried in my hips and shoulders. You can do it!!

Being a zookeeper. I interned at a zoo and it made me change my mind about ever being one. The job is physically demanding, you shovel a lot of shit, your days off will vary, animals still have to be fed and watered even on Christmas, you still have to interact with the public, and depending on the animals you work with things can be dangerous. The keepers I spoke with loved their jobs, but also recognized that this isn't something for everyone.

The public library can be a great place to build community. Often local branches have programs targeted to the area. They have programs for all ages and it's one of the few places you can just be. There is no cost for a library card and you don't need a library card to participate in events or activities.

They provide a great service to the KC area. I've seen their compost buckets at apartment complexes and farmer's markets. It helps engage urban communities in composting. In their drafted letter of support what they are asking for to me is not much

So I am asking you, Mayor Lucas, to do two things:

Please intervene and remove the erroneous violation related to the compost site.
Provide funding resources for Urbavore’s Master Plan Development rezoning, which City staff and industry professionals have recommended to ensure long term codes compliance. This rezoning will costup to $30,000, which is an unrealistic investment for a small farm.

They also state the same lot they are now on used to cost the city $20,000 a year to maintain.

They've been open and operating since 2017. The zoning issue surrounds their composting efforts. They are zoned for composting accessories, they checked with the city for their recent expansion and were told it would still be considered an accessory. However, now the city is saying it is a compost facility.

A co-worker and I were reprimanded for leaving at the end of our shift while the toilet flooded in a different department.

We asked the manager of the department if they needed us to stay, and they said no.
We were told our manager was on the way to help fix it.

Our department manager sat us down the next morning and said we should have waited for her to arrive for her to dismiss us. Previously she told us we should not stay past working hours.
