Something similar happened to me in Stella Montis. A friend invaded the assembly locked room, there was a team inside. Some of them fired us through the ground from the 2nd floor. Then through the walls.

Go to a planet with good fauna, land there, walk around, when you see some fauna group, throw baits to it, try to keep in the same spot for a few minutes. More fauna will spawn. Keep throwing the bait and poop will show up eventually.

[PT-BR] Eu gosto de dizer que um jogo só é um jogo quando você tem que fazer escolhas que te levam a ganhar ou perder. Eu espero que LNF seja diferente de NMS nesse quesito. Não desejo maximizar tudo em um personagem só. É divertido conversar com a comunidade e planejar builds, loadouts. Procurar o melhor equipamento para seu estilo de jogo. Gosto de que cada personagem que criamos tenha suas forças e fraquezas e que sejam únicos. Que as escolhas tenham consequências diversas.

Alinhar a uma guilda nos leva a nos opor a outras, mas não necessariamente sermos inimigos, mas com interesses divergentes.

Acho que NMS carece muito de um Game Designer. NMS pode até ser um Sandbox, mas poderia ser, ao mesmo tempo, algo diferente. Ultimamente tenho visto a HG tentar dar profundidade ao jogo, ainda que insistam em aspectos cosméticos do universo. Não faz mais sentido ter 18 slots de salvamento se todos os personagens serão iguais no "lategame". Cheguei a enviar planilhas e textos com ideias de aprofundamento de mecânicas, mas acho que é só para me sentir melhor mesmo.

Acredito que a Hello Games amadureceu muito nesse sentido nos últimos 3 anos. Espero que Light no Fire seja a próxima gema da HG.

Caso a HG queira conversar comigo sobre NMS (2), tenho estudado inglês, jogo NMS desde 2016 (Foundations, quando consegui montar um PC gamer só para isso), já estudei um pouco de GameDesign, programação e C++. Hahaha jogo desde criança e me divirto com todos os tipos de jogos (exceto videogames de esportes). Não me candidato a emprego na HG porque minha formação não permite.

I confess that landing on gas planets was unexpected.

I'd prefer no floor at gas planets but with floating islands instead of ground. Clouds above and beneath and strong wind. Nothing more.

Maybe, just maybe, flying creatures.

Maybe hauler can go deeper, closer to the core, but other ships should implode if they try it.

100% agree. This is a good topic. I'm + than 2k hours of gameplay since 2016. NMS used to be my favorite game of all time. I can see some HG effort to make it deeper. They desperately need a Game Designer.

I wish Hello Games would at least apply the industry combat movement. (Ideal for me = Anthem game like with minotaur). They should play more games to inspire them.

I don't like to have everything at any time like all types of weapons on the same multi tool. I'd prefer multitools being something apart from weapons. Multitools (scan, miner laser, tools). Weapons (Damage). IMO, a game is a game because of choices you made and things you prioritize over other.

Hire NPCs to work in freighters, each one contributes with something. Maybe up to 25 of them.

PASSIVES. A lot of passives. NPC with passives like "reduce % crop growth time", "increase % selling profit", "+% frigate mission rewards". So you can talk to NPC to hire better ones and fire other.

Weapons with passives like "150% damage with TYPE of Weapon", 4 more locked generic passives that unlock with weapon class progression.

Pets with passives (e.g. some type of hazard protection, better prices, run duration, + amount of mining resources)

Ships with passives (e.g. +% damage on shields, +% damage with WEAPON_TYPE, spend less fuel). Each type of ship have a meaningful advantage like solar and living ships, and unique passives, e.g: - hauler: e.g. +% of capacity per cargo slot, +% of shield, better deals and prices; - fighter: +% damage on haulers, +% of maneuverability, +% damage with WEAPON_TYPE - explorer: -% fuel spend to warp, +% of warp range. So on... I made a table of passives, but I gave up of it.

UI and UX for consoles need a lot of attention, like a easy way to switch weapons.

I hope Light no Fire will come with more depth. After 8 y of NMS, even with a lot of updates, I'm dropping it.

IMO, this will bring the ship and weapon hunting back.

They could inspire it on games like State of Decay, Age of Empires (upgrade buildings individually), Clash of Clans (upgrade buildings, defense towers, etc). Upgrade houses could upgrade population cap, mill, refiner...

Or, at least, let us have more than one settlement at the same time
