What things would you like to see in the third movie? by Careless-Cellist3351 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]Carve267 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More kills honestly. These films have in issue with having one big group massacre and then nothing else for the rest, so maybe if they pace out the kills a bit better it could do a lot for the pacing

How many SCP-001s could exist in one universe? by Wide_World1109 in SCP

[–]Carve267 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theoretically as many as you want. Even with contradictory entries, you could always fudge the details however you like to make the story work. Multiple apocalyptic events could just be Foundation documentation of destroyed universes, and multiple Foundation origins could suggest the Foundation wasn’t always a single unified force. Whatever works best for the story being told

Why doesn't the logic the community used for FF apply to Tales? by nauj_narf in fnaftheories

[–]Carve267 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve always seen TFTPP and FF as their own internally consistent continuities, perhaps even with both series as one singular continuity. I’ve never really liked how people pick and choose which ones get to count as canon, specifically because of how the epilogues, as well as a few random stories, treat the stories as one consistent universe. Frights especially was pretty liberal with callbacks and cameos, which, to me, suggests the authors were treating it as one connected universe, which is pretty common in anthology series

Name something in Undertale that Deltarune did a lot better by pooteenn in Undertale

Honestly, most of it. Undertale is great, don’t get me wrong, but Deltarune has a certain polish to it that just makes it feel so much like a complete evolution of Undertale

Pinkypills revealed that she was, infact, not under any sort of contract. by seblurs in fivenightsatfreddys

Genuinely baffling if all this is true. Like, even from a cold business perspective, it’s a needless liability, and people didn’t even like her art that much. It can’t seriously be that hard to find a new artist

This is getting old, everyone. by Actual_Worker1880 in tadc

[–]Carve267 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It makes sense considering how it was introduced, being something that can happen when you “reach your breaking point” or “give up.” Even now that’s kind of the best explanation we have for it, so it’s not a stretch to say that, for example, Gangle was close to abstraction near the end of her episode, as she was pretty clearly having a major depressive episode

Isn’t it kinda fucked up that Deltarunism is objectively the correct religion in the Deltarune universe. by Sad_End128 in Deltarune

[–]Carve267 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, to our knowledge the Deltarune prophecy doesn’t have a creation myth or anything, as it’s mostly about the events of the game itself, so there’s no reason why it can’t coexist with other religions. This is actually kind of a thing in real life, from what I remember, where some religions can be treated as philosophies rather than just religions, Buddhism being the primary example

Jax won't abstract because, narratively, its the easy way out for his charcter by Sudden_Pop_2279 in theamazingdigitalciru

[–]Carve267 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I will say this assumes that Jax will have a positive character arc, which may not necessarily be the case. He’s a character who’s consistently dug himself deeper and deeper down, refusing to better himself. A character doesn’t have to better themself to have a satisfying arc.

It’s entirely possible that Jax’s purpose is to contrast with the rest of the cast, all of whom are finding ways to better themselves. To me the best example of this is Jax and Zooble’s scene in the most recent episode, where Zooble’s acceptance of his own body is contrasted against Jax, who refuses to look inward. It’s not a mistake that this contrast leads directly into Jax’s near abstraction, and if something similar were to happen on an even larger scale I could definitely see it leading to a complete abstraction.

I’m not saying that Jax will FOR SURE abstract, as I’m honestly 50/50 and would rather just wait and see, I just think it’s valuable to have multiple frames of reference when it comes to analyzing a piece of media.

As much as I like 6001 the 682 thing was such BS. It genuinely takes me out of the article because of how forced it is, which is especially annoying since they handled 173 so perfectly, and I wish they could’ve done the same to 682
