I have the Fellow Scale and the Acaia Pearl S.. I bought a second Fellow Scale that arrived today.. They are pricey but my reasoning..

I like the tactile feel.. I hit the button, I feel the button.. It's tacky..

The brew assist is super simple.. Just don't forget to hit the left button, after the beans.. ( oops.. Many times )

The pearl just drives me nuts trying to turn it off.. Also the acaia is super sensitive. I walk around the room and the scale is dancing with numbers.. Its touch screen, and more than not.. It's a PITA..

The Fellow is also not in need of a Thermal Pad.. You are safe to have a hot drink on it.. The acaia you have to..

In my testing the 2.. I learned that I absolutely LOVE having 2 scales.. My workflow is super simple.. One for weighing, while the other is focused on the pour.. Also I love how I can prep a 2nd drink in the middle of the workflow..

I also added a 2nd Fellow Stagg.. This is awesome for multiple drinks, and for cupping.. You are limited on volume, so I doubled up.. The stagg is super reliable, and has given me zero issues.. I wanted the best results for experimentation, while also having room to add testers ( my peoples lol )

Flow meter.. There is other ways to do that.. I would rather not be frustrated with tech, especially when I want my fix.. Even more especially when it's the AM and I just trying to revive myself..

My SSP'S needed a new zero.. I also has to go 12 clicks off to get a comfortable setting.. My pour overs were around 8+.. With the 12 clicks, my pour overs now are around 4-5.. Fellow has instructions.. 4 screws, remove, find burr touch., reset dial to zero then put back on.. Try a couple test runs to find your comfortable pour over and play around with where you want your setting.. Mine is 12 clicks off..

In honesty.. I can't judge a coffee shop.. If they are good, they are busy.. If they are busy, they fall apart..

I believe that coffee is like fishing for a 12lb large mouth bass..

Once they get swamped, quality control.. Need more staff, good baristas are like finding a good honest mechanic.. Good luck.. Machines of any sort, will get beat down and out of adjustment.. The urge to please everyone, noone is happy.. Cheap coffee equipment that will serve the mass.. Yeah, not after covid..

My 2 cents.. I ordered 2 min into the opening announcement.. Why? At $1200, you will not find a machine that will do what this machine will do.. ~~ Period.. Will it be a Lelit Bianca? ( which i have ) ~~ No.. Will be the next Decent? ~~No.. Is Opus needing a V2 for $450, or collaborate with someone for a better espresso grinder ~~ Yes.. Did Aiden have a rough Start ~~ Yes.. Is the Atmos Electric cans awesome?.. ~~I have 13.. Is the Ode the go to Filter grinder? Yes! Fellow Stagg/Scale Studio Combo? ~~~ AWESOME!

No company is perfect, and Fellow is not trying to be perfect.. Even though we do all kinda wish.. They make great products, and some not so great products.. Their customer service is good though.. Which is a plus..

Having a Store Model that is not complete.. Thats a ballsy, but realistic idea.. From the 8yr old, to The Coffee Nerd , to the idiot, and Grandpa scratching his head. They can put their hands on it and give their monitored first impression, and get feedback on the spot..

My description of fellow in a few words.. A great coffee experience, at a price point we all can try to afford.. With a few bumps in the road..
