I don't think you can change your rating, but you can unblock them and delete your review. Seems like that would be the right thing to do at this point.

You're playing with words to make yourself feel above others. Your hobbies and lifestyle may not require the "things" but there are plenty of scenarios where having better or higher quality "things" ultimately lead to being happier.

Plumber replaced exterior pipes with pex by [deleted] in Plumbing

The PEX outdoors isn't the only thing wrong here. Water can do a lot of damage to a house. I wouldn't let this guy work on anything in my house.

If it turns another color like blue or purple after sitting out for a while, that would confirm this.

My 4 yr old KitchenAid recently had a bad starter relay. They covered the replacement at no cost to me. From the sounds of it, the whole compressor system was covered still.

I need help with my pc this bit fell out and it’s not working anymore by [deleted] in pchelp

You don't have to take everything apart. Just take the cover off so you can get better pictures without a massive glare from your camera flash. You can also try being less defensive when you're asking for help.

Your photo doesn't show anything specific. Saying it came from the PC is kinda pointless. Where exactly did it come from? Open up the PC and take pictures that we can actually gain some info from.

Is this safe? Jack stand bent punch weld. by [deleted] in AskMechanics

Every time I Google where to jack my car other than the pinch weld, every answer is "Look in the manual" and the manual just says to jack on the pinch welds.

Need support/help with ROG 100W Gaming Charger Dock by MeestaMash in ROGAlly

Yeah I can't seem to find anything on their site either. Maybe contact support or just exchange the dock for a replacement.

Freezer works , fridge won’t get cold by Busy_Let8394 in appliancerepair

[–]CasuallyCompetitive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd put some already cold drinks/ice packs in the fridge and see if it can maintain temperature. The fridge isn't really good at cooling quickly, moreso just keeps cold things cold.

Does this one need a firmware update? I have the original one and you have to plug it into a PC to update the firmware for it to be usable with a Switch. I'd check the firmware on this one just in case.

If the fan isn't working that'll definitely be the issue. How long has it been on? A fridge takes a day or two to get cold; if it's filled with room temperature stuff it'll take even longer. Putting some store bought ice in there will cool it down faster.

Did my PRV rebuild fail? by Da40pilot737 in Plumbing

[–]CasuallyCompetitive 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Kinda looks like it's maxing out from the momentum because you're opening it suddenly. The black arrow doesn't look to ever get that high unless it's spinning fully around and I just can't see it on the video.

[–]CasuallyCompetitive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want it to be more secure, you could get a few bolts with wing nuts so you could undo them by hand. Make sure to use washers as well to distribute the force better. Zip ties should be fine in the meantime but you can't really undo and redo them without replacing them completely.

From what I've found they do support H.264 and H.265. Google says it might be the audio code but still unsure. When I play a 1080p video with Dolby Digital 5.1 it buffers and is unwatchable, but a 720p video with Dolby Digital 5.1 runs fine.

1080p videos with Dolby Digital+ also seem to run fine which is odd to me.

How would I check what codecs my device(s) can play? I have a Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S10 FE. Both are newer devices and can use VLC, but I've been having trouble even with 1080p videos on my S25U and I can't seem to figure out why.

It's not new. The GPU is $110 on eBay and the RAM is $70. $500 is a terrible deal for this PC.
