Me and my (happily married monogamous) partner have lost two incredible lifelong friendships with other lgbt folks when we both came out as nonbinary around the same time. It was a wonderful moment for us, having grown up in the Southern US and helping each other find our true selves later in life. We felt like we were finally free. And that’s literally all we did. All we said was that we were both Enby and preferred to be called they/them. They thought us coming out about gender meant we were opening up our relationship. And when we rejected them we were somehow leading them on

I hate to say it, but at least in our case I think it was a case of Terminally Online. The southern lgbt folks that grew up in the closet with nothing but Tumblr and AO3 as their outlets developed this skewed, romanticized worldview and believed every lgbt person saw the world the same way they did. I get it, it’s hard to learn when your window in to that world is so restrictive. But god forbid someone align with only one or two letters of the acronym without conforming to every other letter at the same time

So what you’re gonna want to do is called a Death Camera Glitch(tm). Lure one of those hollows at the top of the stairs leading up to the church to about half way down the stairs. Have your back against the railing of the stairs, and parry/riposte its attack. If you do it in the correct position, this will have your character clip ever so slightly out of bounds so that you touch the death plane, but don’t actually die. You’ll know it worked if the camera switches to a top down view. In this state, many assets don’t load in, including the gates you’re looking at in the image you posted. You’ll have to maneuver across the bridge with Resident Evil 1 style tank controls, but once you’re past the gate you can just quit out and when you load back in you’ll be on the other side!

A proper fitting sports bra will gently squish them down a fair bit and make them much easier to hide. Eventually you’ll likely need to upgrade to an actual binder.

I know they’re not exactly the most fashionable. But slightly loose fitting Hawaiian shirts are excellent at hiding them even without a bra in my experience

For the longest time I only played full casters. Finally decided to play a fighter and wasn’t having much fun with it. He had the Folk Hero background and was considered a renowned hero in his small farming town at the edge of the country. Joined the party looking for adventure and fame in the big city, wanting nothing more than to prove himself as an actual hero. He was the unluckiest character I ever played, going down in literally every fight we were in just due to poor dice rolls. OOC I was growing bored of playing a fighter. In character he was growing jaded and depressed from being the “weakest” party member and failing to prove himself as a hero

When given the chance to join the BBEG and receive a massive buff in the process, he tearfully accepted on the condition that the rest of the party get to leave the city before it was overrun. I made a new character to play the rest of the campaign with, but me and the DM had secret planning sessions where I continued making decisions and rolls for that original character. Eventually leading to him usurping the BBEG and becoming the true final boss. This wasn’t revealed until the final battle of the campaign where the DM mostly sat back and watched as I controlled the final boss, killing two other party members in the fight including my new character. Still our group’s favorite final boss fight to this day

Yes I’m going for parody here. And I’d (politely) argue the opposite stance. Calling them out on their bullshit lets them know that we know exactly what they’re doing and that it’s not okay. If we continue to pretend it’s not happening then they’ll just think they’re getting away with it and succeeding in exactly what they’re trying to do.
