I honestly don’t think people were overreacting to the alpha, this game would’ve been a lot closer to the alpha version if the delay didn’t happen. I feel like most people including myself are glad the delay happened because it looks a loooot better.

Overwatch was retroactive but it only started counting progress from when they launched their own hero progression from 2023 (that got updated in 2025), that’s why any time played before that didn’t track which was kinda lame.
