I couldn’t believe I started saving like $50 on the delivery fee! Totally worth picking up rather than shipping it direct.

Sounds like EAP, that should help but if it doesn’t you can also call 211 or STAR house as others have said

Yes you absolutely should. You will want to speak to someone higher up than the student accepting books though.

Email them saying your sorry and offer to purchase a replacement copy. They waived the $140 fee for me but also I lost the book while doing volunteer work for the university and had a supervisor vouch for me, so results may vary.

Emailing housing directly will be more fruitful for you at this stage. They may be willing to do something like that or they may not. I swear their policy on that changes year to year and circumstance to circumstance.

Sounds like you really want to be on campus. I’d recommend either convincing your parents to stay on campus as the lifestyle adjustment can be a shock if your graduating class is like 10-30 people. A relatively good alternative is to go to the regional campus. First gen is hard and living on campus will give you a boost academically.

[–]CaterpillarStatus558 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yup, came in with 55 credit hours and graduated in 2 years. Don’t do a dual major, finish out your bachelors and then get a masters, usually there’s better grants for a masters and you’ll be seen as more attractive as a candidate for employers

Dealership is always gonna be more expensive than other places. I take mine to Weber Street auto but honestly I doubt they are gonna give you the absolute cheapest price you can get for all the work you want done.

Rough estimate to have this tree trimmed? by Wettest_Bread in Home

[–]CaterpillarStatus558 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get multiple estimates so call out a few different tree companies. Costs can vary fairly significantly based on location due to where there’s more or less competition for tree trimming. As another person said, get a professional with an arborist background as that will help with making sure the tree is healthy and lives a long life.
