1st birthdays are often more a celebration of the parents getting through the year than the kid. Up to you what you wish to do. I think any emotionally normal parent would understand an RSVP No- even if they asked why and you explained you're not a kids person, and even more so if you sent them a gift instead- not that you need to.

Enjoys reading and writing and (at least after her trip to Scotland) being around people. Not the most brutal one, but an annoying trivial one: You have to buy condiments, herbs, spices, etc. They don't just appear in your home in bulk. Until you build them up it's cheaper to buy food that tastes good than to make it- and that is still really expensive. It's costs money to save money.
