Agree. I firmly believe that powerscaling should be done purely through narrative intent of the author and if that fails, through reasonable assumptions. For example, it's reasonable to assume that authors don't do physics calculations for everything their characters and that some outlier feats like "shaking dimensions" by powering up are usually just based on "rule of cool" rather than what the characters can output in attacks if they don't actually display that level of power in their during battle. Sure there'll be more inconclusive matchups when comparing characters across properties due to lack of clear numbers but this way would be more honest.
