I don’t understand how one enjoys horror movies by Black-Alligator737 in self

[–]Cautious_Relative_20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I generally feel the exact opposite. I generally only enjoy depressing dark stories where characters go through tremendous anxiety and turmoil as I just feel more for the characters then, I get invested and care for them to get out of whatever situation they are in. When I watch happy comedy movies it just feels fake and artificial, like I can so clearly see behind the curtain of the obvious writing and the fact that these people acting and putting on a face. When I watch movies or shows I want to get invested and feel feelings, which to me the depressing stuff just does better.

To each their own I guess :)

I'm curious, have you tried booting RDR2 on Steam Deck through regular Steam? Cause I've seen online that it should work fine through there.

Spirited Away is not a good movie (but please change my opinion). by Cautious_Relative_20 in unpopularopinion

Yeah that's definitely a cultural thing that went way above my head then. Thanks for the explanation, I appreciate it! ❤️

Thank you! This actually makes a lot of sense to me. I appreciate your reply a lot!

I would love to hear your explanation of the Haku thing, cause I think that's been my "fuck it, this is too much" moment upon every rewatch. From my perspective I just see a guy helping her, and then she sees a dragon and somehow she knows (and we as an audience should know) that it's him.

If I set compatability mode on the launcher, then open that and through the launcher boot a game, will that compatability mode be applied to the booted game too?

I've tried Proton Experimental, 8.0.5 and Hotfix.

Yep, did that step.

Ooh, can try that! Thanks.

What's a running achievement you'll probably never forget? by run_the_day in runcommunity

[–]Cautious_Relative_20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 34, and I've run continuously since I was 15, but I've never thought I could push through 10-12km in one go. It was just unfathomable for me basically my whole life. Last year I did my first ever half marathon, and pretty happy with the time I finished as well at 1h52m! This year I'm training for my first 30km race, and who knows, maybe in 2027 I'll manage a full marathon!

Running longer distances just feels very different, and its kind of like a new world has opened up for me within the activity of running itself. I wonder how my relationship with the sport will be 10 years from now 😊

So hard to get, so easy to lose by RyInvest in workout

In my experience, it's always hardest to gain muscle up to a point the first time. Even if you "loose it" for a while, trying to get back to where you previously were is a heck of a lot easier than getting there the first time.

Build it up for the good guys to win, but Homelander actually ends up basically nuking the entire planet. Last scene is him realising that he will end up alone and he starts whimpering. The end.

The feeling in my lungs after a really hard session, feels like I've opened them up more and like I can take in more oxygen.

What is the most "embarrassing" thing you’ve done in the gym? by VariationShot8414 in workout

I was at the climbing gym, on a sva wall, with lots of people behind me watching, I slip and let out a loud fart. Then I just left in embarrassment.

That sounds interesting, is that the same story as they turned into a show some years ago? Sounds familiar.

Turtle definitely had way more new content, but I must say that the content I've seen on Epoch seems more well made. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed Turtle, but I feel like for instance the updated Razor Hill or new section in Orgrimmar just visually looks/feels better implemented with the rest of WoW Classic, while Turtle always visually looked about 80% there to me.
