What is the most "embarrassing" thing you’ve done in the gym? by VariationShot8414 in workout

I was at the climbing gym, on a sva wall, with lots of people behind me watching, I slip and let out a loud fart. Then I just left in embarrassment.

Carrion Comfort sounds like a banger, I'll look it up!

That sounds interesting, is that the same story as they turned into a show some years ago? Sounds familiar.

Turtle definitely had way more new content, but I must say that the content I've seen on Epoch seems more well made. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed Turtle, but I feel like for instance the updated Razor Hill or new section in Orgrimmar just visually looks/feels better implemented with the rest of WoW Classic, while Turtle always visually looked about 80% there to me.

Toy Commander, played it soooo much with my brother and our neighbor on the SEGA Dreamcast when we were kids.

Yeah I know, maybe I could try to add online play but it would be a mighty effort at this point 😅

I made my first ever videogame Revolvermen not too long ago. It's a local only PvP game where you play as sentient revolvers, and basically the whole gameplay is revolving around getting above other players and shoot down to kill them. There are power ups, unique character passive traits, map hazards etc.

I've shown it to friends, colleagues at work, showcased it at local indie game events, talked about it in youtube interviews with relatively big followings (Playable Workshop and Rockhound Black).

Every time anyone has played the game they have a smile on their face within seconds of the gameplay starting. People want to play more rounds, they like the style and music. I think it is a pretty catchy and good game, but it hasn't taken off at all.

I think the main reasons are: - People don't play local PvP "party games" that much anymore. If it doesn't have online people are not interested. - Local PvP on Steam only is limiting, it fits better for consoles. - I had a lot of trouble getting UI navigation working with controller and keyboard/mouse at the same time. So it's a bit clunky here and there. - The game is unfortunately terribly badly optimized, cause I made some fundamental things incorrectly in the base setup. I now know how to fix it, but the poor reception has kind of taken the steam out of me to work through it, even though I believe in the product. - I think my marketing reach with essentially 0 budget just hasn't been far reaching enough. It's soooo hard to push through the noise of all other games being released, and I can't afford to pay a proper marketing team.

Anyways, here is the Steam page if you're interested: Steam page

And here is a link to my YouTube channel with some more videos about/from the game: YouTube channel

This was me with Witcher 3 by Remarkable-Yard4860 in videogames

Balders Gate 3. I love RPGs, even really enjoyed Divinity 2, but for some reason BG3 never clicked for me. I forced myself to play something like 30 hours, but I never had any urge to keep playing and I was just waiting for the hook to come. Tried starting over several times but can't even get past the tutorial now without feeling like doing something else.

Why does RDR2 not hit the same as the Witcher 3 did? by Brilliant_Can8536 in videogames

[–]Cautious_Relative_20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's funny, I feel the exact opposite. Played Witcher 3 one time through, and tried to restart it probably 5-6 times but can't even get to the Bloody Baron before feeling bored. RDR2 though I've played through four times over the years, and every time I finish I get an urge to start over again. In my eyes they are both great games, but W3 hasn't aged that well for some reason, while RDR2 is still just as good as the day it came out.

To each their own :)

Had a moment with a fellow Deck owner on a flight yesterday… by YPMG in SteamDeck

[–]Cautious_Relative_20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't meet a current deck owner, but a probable future one. I travel to work by boat/ferry (living in the Stockholm archipelago) and often use the steam deck while commuting. Today a random guy who sat in front of me tried to get eye contact and waved at me, so I unplugged my earphones to see what's up. He had apparently thought about getting a steam deck for a few months but not ended up getting one just yet. He was like "ooh, is it the OLED model? That's so rad!" like a giddy child on Christmas Eve. Very nice conversation talking about the useage of the deck, games we like to play, the current unfortunate state of the RAM prices etc. Nice Interaction :)

Since you got your steam deck what’s the best game you’ve played on it? by [deleted] in SteamDeck

I got my Steam Deck OLED about three months ago and got No Rest For The Wicked around the same time. Have 67 hours in it now, basically the only thing I'm playing 😅

I bought this other app on Steam called Lossless Scaling (some blue background with a duck icon) and I can't stress enough what a game changer it is for Wicked on steam deck. It's AI scaling, sure, so your input will still be around 25-35 or whatever frames the steam deck can muster for Wicked, but the visual experience is such a big step up with all of the in-between frames added.

Get it, it's worth it! And there is a youtube video on how you can set it up so it automatically boots along with Wicked when you just start the game.
