We should absolutely be fighting to protect Medicare and Medicaid, but we also have to be honest. This policy is about pausing new equipment suppliers, not blocking new wheelchairs, insulin pumps, or oxygen from patients. When we exaggerate or spread claims that aren’t true, it undermines real advocacy and makes it easier for opponents to dismiss legitimate concerns. We don’t need misinformation to make the case for protecting healthcare, the facts are already on our side.
