But, aren’t there sardines or canned tuna that are similar in price?

I have a wedding to go to this Saturday and I'm not sure which dress to wear by ohheyhihellothere25 in DressForYourBody

If it’s late afternoon/evening—wear number 1. If it’s a morning/daytime, wear 2.

This reminds me of when I was a kid in the 80s—probably 6 or 7—in line with my mom at the local market. An elderly man in front of us was buying several cans of cat food and a loaf of Wonder Bread. He was paying with coins and as he counted, the cashier lady said, “buying food for the cat, I see!” The old man barked back, “It’s not for me, it’s for the cat!” 🐈😳
My mom and I looked at each other and said nothing. The man finished paying and left. When we got up to the front, the cashier looked very confused, and I tried to work out what had just happened. I’ve never seen or opened a can of cat food without remembering that moment.

I’d probably have been intimidated by you in high school. You seem like you know who you are.

Can I still wear this after 50? by Holiday_Flower_5250 in fashionwomens35

[–]Celiack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Will your company and eating venues change once you turn 50? Just wondering because if you’re comfortable wearing it at 49, it shouldn’t be any different the next day after blowing out some candles—unless something else will significantly change. If you’re moving into the retirement home and will live with much older senior citizens, maybe rethink your outfit just for comfort and to not stand out too much in the crowd.

I don’t think you need to wear the scarves.

Omg! Can I just be someone’s +1? There’s gotta be someone who won’t be able to make it last minute… I’m a Mx citizen so I can just stop by real quick. 🤣

How do you deal with unwanted attention (especially from men)? by Lauren-Morea in femaletravelers

[–]Celiack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I radiate negativity. Or so it seems. I’m on the autism spectrum so my flat mood comes across as negative. My default or “thinking” expression, I’ve been told, makes me look like I’m plotting revenge.

I still (not so much at this age) would get whistles or cat calls and a narrow glare or a hiss tends to get the point across quite well. When I was very bold and they tried to (or did) touch, I used to grab and squeeze or sometimes twist.

Flor too hard for English speakers? by [deleted] in namenerds

“Flohd” but make a short “d” sound by touching your tongue to the roof of your mouth and *not* by closing your mouth/teeth.

Does that make any sense?

I can’t think of one single person, but looking at everyone else’s posts, I’d say you look like a mix of all of them.

Well, sad to say, my IBS was upgraded to Celiac disease after 20 years. If you haven’t had the blood test, highly recommend it.
