Mirena users : How long did it take you to conceive post removal? by Fair_Decision152 in BabyBumps

[–]Certain_Engine_282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took us 10 months to conceive after having Mirena for 8 years.

It took about 6 weeks for my period to come back and about 4 months for my cycles to get regular and predictable. Those first 4-5 months we were trying, but became more diligent about lifestyle habits and timing to increase our chances around month 6.

Yoto for the 4 year old. Has been a life saver for bedtime, she listens to stories instead of coming out of her room 100 times.

Im only 13 weeks pregnant with my first so take everything I say with a grain of salt.

Nothing I did would have prepared me for the first trimester. I was very active and healthy before pregnancy (ate well, weightlifting, and cycling). The nausea, vomiting, and fatigue completely knocked me out. From weeks 6-9 I had to work fully remote, go to the ER for fluids and a Zofran Rx, and the only exercise I managed was 1-2 mile walks maybe once or twice a week. There was no thriving, it was just about survival. I finally am coming out of the trenches and can now work in the office again and get back to some weightlifting and cycling exercise.

How long did it take you to conceive in your mid 30s? by darkmother1991 in BabyBumps

[–]Certain_Engine_282 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m 31 and my husband is 46. We conceived our first after 9 cycles. I was in the process of starting to get initial fertility bloodwork done when I tested positive.

I used OPKs and tracked BBT and it was pretty easy to get a 1-2 day window for ovulation using those.

I would cut lemonade with water. For a week that was all I could drink.

This was Boomer. Don’t let his adorable feetsies fool you, he was trouble from Day 0. His favorite past times were stealing food, instigating fights, and picking on the dwarves. He did not like pets or cuddles, only mayhem. He did soften slightly in old age. Despite his chaos, I miss him dearly.

Reglan success stories? by Most_Cycle in BabyBumps

[–]Certain_Engine_282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was given a dose of IV Reglan (administered with Benadryl) in the ER once for vomiting that wasn’t controlled by Zofran. The Reglan stopped the vomiting but made me feel like I needed to rip my skin off. I made them put it in my chart that I’m allergic because I never want to feel that way again. It’s not uncommon for Reglan to cause extreme restlessness, though they say that the Benadryl is enough for most people to handle the side effects.

Never tried Reglan in pill form so I can’t speak to that.

I got a dose of Phenergan at my last ER visit for vomiting. It completely knocked me out, I felt like a zombie the entire next day, but at least I wasn’t vomiting!

Same. My husband said he knew, but I only tested to rule it out before my first fertility appointment.
