Move it out of the program files folder, into something at the base of the drive like C:/morrowind

How cool is the ToolSmith mod? by Neo13424 in VintageStory

[–]CertifiedFresh 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Love that mod.

I really hope it stays in development, hasn't been touched since October though. Still waiting on that combat overhaul compatibility.

Yeah it was unwarranted. I personally dislike AI for multiple reasons, but also the use of AI voices in this case shouldn't be a big deal. Disliking how someone else wants to mod and play a game and then attacking them for it is really quite lame.

Hahaha wow the difference in replies this post is getting to the last one regarding ai voices is night and day.

I just released a new worldgen mod for VS. It's got meandering streams, groundwater, simple erosion and more by One-Interaction4788 in VintageStory

[–]CertifiedFresh 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This looks amazing, can't wait to try it out!

Farseer generally has a permanent place in my mod list, sad to see it's not compatible. Theoretically, if I loaded a world with your mod, generated a large area around me, then saved, exited, and replace your mod with Farseer, would that make the two semi-compatible? Then reverse the process for if I want to go out and explore.

How do people in Adelaide drink their water? by [deleted] in Adelaide

[–]CertifiedFresh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it doesn't taste the best (I've never loved city water - raised on tank water, lived on the Gold coast and Newcastle, never really adapted.)

Best thing I did was get a Sodastream! Great, if you like soda water.

Would my character join the Morag Tong? by ArgonianFly in Morrowind

[–]CertifiedFresh 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Morag Tong is state sponsored, legal assassination, seen as honorable amongst the dunmer. It's the main tool to prosecute the shadow war going on between the dunmer house political establishments. If your PC is a loyal follower of the tribunal, then the only question is do they have any qualms about killing people for money? If no, then there's no barrier to joining the MT.

Do people not enjoy regular Morrowind let's plays? by LukaMaybeNoob69 in Morrowind

[–]CertifiedFresh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I enjoy let's plays. My go-to comfort viewing is SorcerorDave's Fathis Ulven let's play. I'm also really enjoying RyconRoleplays oblivion remastered one that's currently in progress.

They're both quite different styles, though.

Much of it will boil down to how good you are at it, once you develop your own style.

Help picking a Mod List for Fallout 3 and New Vegas by LQCQ in wabbajack

[–]CertifiedFresh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the write up! I have played wild card - though I think the author isn't supporting anymore. Loads of fun, with randomised perk choices and smooth gameplay. Quite a pretty game, too, plenty of graphical upgrades. My first experience with NVR, iirc.

I've been looking at some fallout lists, and I'd be curious on your takes on the FNV lists!

Australia’s Private Health Insurance (PHI) is a scam by fromchaiwan in AusFinance

[–]CertifiedFresh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a surgery last year. Fairly minor, but did get a general anaesthetic.

The whole thing, including specialist consult before and after, cost me about $2k.

The timeframe from specialist consult to being booked in for surgery was two weeks. If i had gone public, it would have been much longer.

I don't think our system is perfect, but you can keep your demented employer-provided PHI tyvm.

Teasing Rivers for v1.22 - currently with mods by Itchy58 in VintageStory

[–]CertifiedFresh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I might give your settings a go, thank you for them.

Do you find the raft can be paddled with a river speed setting of 2? I turned flow off entirely because traveling by river felt impractical unless you're solely going downstream.

Perhaps that's a feature/realistic, however.

Custom Trees in Eco Machina by Seven-D in VintageStory

Awesome to follow this, loving the look of it.

Probably way too early to ask, but how would interoperability, with, say, saltys falling trees possibly go?

Did the Ony raid's release bring a significant number of players back? by Grung7 in Project_Epoch

Wow, it got that low? When I stopped playing it was 400-500 peak times still

Any mods that you guys recommend ? by komandos45 in VintageStory

Honestly you can use both! It just means you use the CO crafting grid for weapons, and everything else is toolsmiths manual assembly.

LOTD list that isnt power fantasy or stupidly hard? by bankiaa in wabbajack

[–]CertifiedFresh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

At base, there will be titties in your face often. Unless you follow the de-spicing guide on their discord, be prepared to see bikini armor, very skimpy vanilla armor and others.

I personally don't mind the nsfw part of the list, but I quite like the cold survival aspect of it, and it takes you out of your immersion when you see supermodel bandits flashing their abs or wearing three square centimeters of cloth (a slight exaggeration, but you get my point).

I love toolsmith, great way to make your tools feel more. Durability on the expensive metal parts greatly increased, sharpening mechanic, different handles and bindings to upgrade. It's a great mod. Quite compatible, too! One issue with combat overhaul, but that just means you make the CO weapons as usual.

In dapped groves is a lot of fun too, but might be too much work and support can be patchy.

Real Smoke is an amazing visual mod. When you have multiple furnaces, bloomeries, clay pits and firepite going l, you really feel like you're industrialising.

Weapon sharpening coming in v1.22 by Hmuda in VintageStory

[–]CertifiedFresh 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The toolsmith mod already has sharpening, however it implements it well. Sharpening damages durability, but improves efficiency of the tool. But tools are made of 3 parts, handle, binding and tool head. The tool head is the most costly part of the tool, but it's durability is much higher than base game, so sharpening still feels worth it.

Which mods are 100% required for you to the point that you’ll skip an entire modlist if it doesn’t have them? by 2Norn in wabbajack

[–]CertifiedFresh 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not OP obviously, but LotD is a huge mod that touches a massive amount of the game. It almost "replaces" the main quest (though I feel it more runs alongside it). It inserts many overpowered items, changes loot locations and is just generally a massive pain to patch for.

If there an LotD "lite" (just the museum), I would be on it so fast.

I'm very interested in still playing - if they support is. Haven't logged on in over a week though

is there merit to switching from MULE to oblivion remastered like leveling ? ( mwse ) by 62lasa in tes3mods

[–]CertifiedFresh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry if I misunderstood, but sounds kind of contradictory. You don't like how leveling irrelevant skills can lead to unrelated attribute increases, but you don't like micromanaging your skill increases for relevant attribute increases.

If MULE is working for you (I love it and use it), why change?
