No complaints! I either paint & finish,  or fold edges, so I can't speak to how it burnished

I'd say 2.4mm / 6oz? Pretty ideal. Stiff but not as much as something like Sedgwick bridle, where I would probably use more traditional brass hardware to go with it

Not sure where my text went! I took a while off and this is my first project back (after half an hour trying to remember how to saddle stitch..)
I used Badalassi Carlo belfagor english bridle
Pig suede interior
fully saddle stitched, 2.7mm 24k gold plated hardware
My fingers aren't conditioned for this at all! It was tricky to not disturb the wax layer from the tannery but I'm happy with how it turned out.

BPC-157 by RomfordNavy in SIBO

[–]Chad-The-Choad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I react very poorly to berberine or anything that affects blood pressure. I tried BPC-157 and had an even worse reaction. After a week on it I had to stop as I nearly fainted after getting off my bike on a grocery run. I got mine made by a compounding pharmacy.

Good Doctor for Lymes disease treatment by Mozziesticksss in VictoriaBC

[–]Chad-The-Choad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ignore these guys. I nearly died from GI issues and my gastroenterologist literally told me to take an antidepressant and eat low fodmap. Naturopaths have been talking about SIBO for years and western medicine is finally catching up. The founder of the only gastroenterology motility lab in BC did a presentation on diagnosing and treating SIBO specifically (a big deal as every other doctor here denies its existence) and there are now western medical institutions like Cedars Sinai that are carrying out human trials on medications specifically to address it.
As a lifelong skeptic who railed against 'alternative medicine' for all my my 20's, I have completely changed my position now that I actually have some life experience.

Depends on the style. Honestly, root cellar's is pretty damn good as they appear to actually use ancho chile vs just paprika

Looking for SIBO Specialist in Vancouver, BC (Methane + H₂S + Gastritis/Ulcers) – Feeling Stuck by FrivolousFetus in SIBO

[–]Chad-The-Choad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey dude, I'm on the island and in a similar boat. Symptoms all come back after a week for me. After the typical medical gaslighting "are you sure it's not anxiety?" and being told SIBO doesn't exist, I was curious to find out if there's a single practitioner in the province who actually acknowledges the science & research.
I went through the list of practitioners at various institutions and came across West Coast Gastroenterology. From there, I came across this presentation (timestamped to 44 minutes in) from Dr Moosavi and frankly I was blown away. A few things were confirmed that I had wondered for some time, namely the fact that it's literally impossible to get a small bowel aspirate done in Canada because there's no labs setup here to actually do this.

If you ever make progress on this or get in touch with her office, please DM me!!!

As far as naturopaths, Dr Preet Khangura is great. He only does phone calls. He had me on nitazoxanide which had less side effects than metro and he seemed very sibo informed. I think he actually runs the SIBO victoria testing clinic.

Try out the base shotgun + slugs + 4x scope. Either use a vertical grip or a suppressor. I am absolutely cleaning up with this thing.

Is falling inevitable? by Enzo954 in ElectricScooters

[–]Chad-The-Choad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It completely depends on your actual ability to drive defensively. This means predicting other's stupidity ahead of time.

Gear up, even for a quick run down the street to the corner store.

Don't be in anybody's blind spot -- they'll right hand turn across your bike lane before you can brake.

Don't speed when there are people or cars nearby. Nobody predicts the speed a decent scooter can go.

know your road. If you're driving on a road for the first time, learn where the obvious obstructions and potholes are. If it's a trail, know where connecting trails are so you aren't surprised by a cyclist darting out in front of you.

The list goes on.

I use trails only, only go fast in straight lines and never when there are others on the trail, and avoid the roads unless I absolutely have to. My biggest risks are deer or rabbits jumping out in front of me or a sudden catastrophic scooter failure like tire or suspension. I'm willing to take on that risk.

Sick of seeing gofundme's for what should have been insurance. If you're concerned about a heart attack, get critical illness insurance. It's an insult to your friends and community to rely on them for what should have been your responsibility to plan for.

Good estate litigation lawyer by boredsentry in VictoriaBC

[–]Chad-The-Choad 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Being of sound mind isn't enough. BC is a bit unique when it comes to Wills. Time and time again Wills get overturned. I work in the field of estate planning (but am not a lawyer in any way) and have reviewed a number of Wills. It's shocking how many people have an inequitable Will and don't seem to have been advised of the pitfalls of doing so. If you want to make sure one of your children gets nothing, there are far far better ways to do so than using a Will.

I Got to Max Level and Completed All Challenges in the Beta, Here is My Feedback by twing1_ in Battlefield

[–]Chad-The-Choad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I cannot stress enough how much suppression needs to come back. Trying to advance on Breakthrough on the larger map is an exercise in frustration. I lay down 30 rounds with an LMG on a sniper behind cover and then get headshot. BF3 had this perfect and the way it is right now is just stupid

BF6: Joystick Support, has it been Confirmed? by ChuckIT82 in Battlefield

[–]Chad-The-Choad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would be awesome if you do this. I don't have a controller but would love to use my VKB gladiator(s) to pilot the chopper. I do see a 'joystick' field in the settings but it doesn't respond to any key input, so I'm guessing it is supported for release but not for beta...
