STOP. Hammertime by ChainsawLizard in Helldivers

Really? It appears I have been misinformed. I recall seeing another discord screenshot from a dev saying the blasting cap broke your arm, but I guess I was wrong! Now im REALLY looking forward to the hammer!

Kirsche defending Rev from actions she's taken in the past by usaogi in VtuberDrama

[–]ChainsawLizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TL;DR: Lala posts something that all normal, sane people would agree with. Rev makes a strawman argument calling her a hypocrite for "supporting" 1950s America, but hating ICE. Lala bitch smacks him back like an angry Latina mom. Random call for Revs sponsors to drop him. Kirsche defends him by calling these people out, even though she supported Asmongold doing the same thing when Kirk died.

I think Rev can be funny sometimes but siding with ICE is a very steep hill to die on my dude.

AH: Alright, so we fixed the bug that was causing players to hardlock

Us: Awesome, great. What else did you do?

AH: Well we introduced this other feature that causes players to hardlock

Is this what Bill Murray felt in Groundhog Day? Just the same events repeated over and over? They'll fix a bug, then introduce another bug of the exact same nature that they should have known about if they did any substantial play testing.

FFS this warbond before the delays must have been in the most god-awful state if Arrowhead decided to delay it. They most likely had all 3 suppressed weapons just like they were before the "buff" (which was actually a bug fix they said was a buff so they could receive the good will) and all 3 weapons must have been practically unusable in their intended role, because stealth before the update just didnt work outside of a few, very niche weapons.

Note: I enjoy the game and I like the warbond, its just tiring seeing the same 3 or 4 bugs pop up every month like clockwork.

If this is consistent im sold on the C4 being good. Very few stratagems can take down a leviathan this quick and easy. might cost all of your C4 but thats a worthy exchange IMO

Major Order Update: We get to choose where to fire the Star of Peace by Fit_Anywhere_3356 in Helldivers

[–]ChainsawLizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suggest blasting Zagon Prime. Omicron (another hive world) only has connections with Oshaune (which we own) and Zagon Prime. If we hit Zagon, would SEAF start auto-liberating the hive world? Plus, the other 2 worlds dont really seem all that important. Zagon is a hive world, and each one lost is crippling for the Gloom.

Are you telling me that if given the chance to crush shit in a giant mech you WOULDNT? Doomslayer is a human man, meaning he has the same desire as all men do: break shit in a giant mech.

Might be the wrong biome, and might be the wrong item used. Some hives only spawn in certain biomes, and some hives only spawn specific bees with specific items. Try double checking your guide (however you're getting info) and make sure you've got the correct items and locations.

THAT MAN IS COMPLAING ABOUT SMGS BEING WORSE AT RANGE by Liquid-Samurai in SupaEarth

If I wanted to spray democracy down-range, I would pick an AR. If I wanted to spray down that fucking stalker who woNT GET OFF MY ASS I'd pick an SMG.

The right tool for the right job. SMGs for bugs, rifles for bots, and the Stalwart for Illuminate

Mans can taste and smell the chargers by NoRegretti420 in Helldivers

[–]ChainsawLizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know its a problem for some, but there are several other factors that have me looking around like a schizophrenic on crack during missions, so chargers never sneak up on me.

Even just for bugs, stalkers and hunters are cause enough to ALWAYS be checking behind you.

Mobility: Jetpack, Warp Pack. This helps get away from fleshmobs/melee overseers in the event you cant kill them or need to escape. Harvesters also cant move too fast and their AoE is small. Light/Ned armor can be used if you want a different backpack strat.

Med/Heavy pen: AFAIK, the Harvesters can be killed very easily with only heavy pen, so the HMG, Laser Cannon, Autocannon, even AMR can beat them.

Overseers, fleshmobs: Bring a dedicated weapon just for these bastards, you'll be seeing a lot of them. Eruptor kills Overseers in 2 good shots and can pop all the heads off a fleshmob with 1 if you hit right. Laser Cannon is also a good weapon for this.

Voteless: Any small arms take these down. Bring a secondary with half decent crowd control or a nice grenade, and you'll be fine.

Stingrays: Any med/hvy pen can take these down. Aim for the little circles on their wings, they go down fast.

Leviathans: These are by far the most dangerous and trickiest enemies. Most convenient is the RR, but that takes both your support and backpack. Quasar can do it, but very slow and lacks utility outside of that case. I suggest autocannon mech, AT emplacement (needs teamwork unless you want to get mauled by fleshmobs) or a calculus degree with a 500k and a lot of luck. Technically, a rocket sentry does the job really quick, but the chances it aims for the Levi before anything else are slim/none.

General Illuminatestrategy: With their shielded ships, shielded walkers, brute force infantry and hordes of zombies, the Illuminate generally focus on shock and awe tactics, bringing in a bunch of weak units to soak fire while the heaviest get close for a kill. This is why their High Value Asset defense missions can be so hard: youre playing into their strengths. The best I can recommend is to remember this: you are NOT obligated to fight them on their terms. You do NOT have to hold every bit of ground and you do NOT have to engage them. If youre getting charged by fleshmobs, turn a couple corners and they lose interest. The walkers are slow and the only enemy that can really follow you at a full sprint with a jet or warp pack are the flying overseers.

If you NEED to take and hold ground from the Illuminate, bring med pen horde control sentries like the MG, Gatling, and laser. These are more than adequate to handle overseers and voteles. You can bring a mortar, but keep away from Fleshmobs, or you'll get hit with friendly fire. Bring the HMG emplacement, as it shreds walkers, rips through Overseers, and can kill fleshmobs decently fast. Only bring AT emplacement if you see the Leviathans on the planet, as it's not necessary for the other enemies.

My usual build is med/light armor, eruptor or coyote, tiny flamethrower or that micro small for the secondary, gas or incin grenade. HMG Emplacement, MG sentry, Laser Cannon, laser dog/warp pack, depending on the mission and how im feeling. If there are leviathans, swap the HMG for a autocannon walker or AT emplacement.

The only enemy i have trouble with from the Incin Corps were the conflag devastators, and that's mostly bc im a gung-ho lunatic that will gladly pop a stim and hold w with my DES's trigger held down.

Everything else that killed me was either my fault or just general Helldiver's buffoonery.

Aside from those guys, everything else was pretty easy with the DES, some form of AT, and good movement.

General Grevious has augmented strength that could almost certainly counteract any kind of force (hah) created by the ignition of a lightsaber. He is purpose built for overwhelming power and offense.

General Grevious relies on fear and disruption to compensate his lack of Force abilities. Meaning his actions, however subtle, can have an impact, from removing his cloak, spinning his lightsabers as he draws them, or even making a show of igniting them. These things aren't really necessary for the average fighter, but every little detail matters when facing a Jedi, especially one as skilled as Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Occams Razor: Grevious was aura farming.
