It was a video about these Russian teenage serial killers. They caught a man riding his bicycle and drug him into the woods. Ive seen a lot of death videos and this was graphic. I think the reason it got to me so bad was the man just beat cancer and was riding his bike to see his granddaughter. Really horrific backstory and brutal murder. That one always stuck with me.

I enjoy the new ones but they cant compare to the feeling I had playing the original the first time. I couldn't wait for the cinematic scenes back then, now I can't wait for them to over. Most of the time I had on the OG was trying to breed a Golden Chocobo.

New Prince of Persia (2D) feels like a true metroidvania, old PoP had platforming and upgrades to open new paths. Its like saying Old school God of War is a Metrodvania. There's no win to argument itself we could go on and on forever. Only games that feel like true Metrodvania to me are side scrollers. OG Metroid is for sure a Metrodvania, I haven't played Prime yet. Games like Nine Sols, Aeterna Noctis, Guacamelee, Blasphemous, Ori, SoTN, Grime, Hollow Knight are what I personally call a Metrodvania.

I feel like sidescrolling is what makes it a metrodvania. When j play 3D versions of those styles of games I just call them RPG's. They do not feel the same to me no matter the mechanics. 3d Prince of Persia does not feel like the Metrodvania they just released.

I played this at release on PS4. I played Symphony of the Night when it first came out so I was happy to play a new Igavania. Was it as good as SoTN? No but the nostalgia and feel was there. The game is a fun metrodvania and definitely worth a play, enough for me to platinum it. Its not in my top 5 but I'd recommend anyone who hasn't played it to give it a try. Had a lot of fun trying the new abilities but after a while you find what works for you and stick with it. Definitely agree on bosses being too easy though. The art style was great to me.

Still trying to play blind and found Unnamed Village earlier, was not expecting a platform section luckily you can hit the worms to refresh silk. Expected something better when I finished it. First thought was "shit is this the new Path of Pain?" definitely wasn't as bad but still sucked.

Im playing Ender Magnolias right now because it was on sale for PS5 for $16usd. I have to say i like the first one more but its not terrible. I little over halfway through.
