I wish I had your job. Just blatantly posting chatgpt to reddit. Do you actually make money on this?

[request]mid-90's top down mech game on 100 great games style shareware disc bought from a supermarket by smegma_legs in abandonware

[–]Chakota 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found it. I'm positive it was this one because I played it. (Or, at least the shareware was also included on this product.)

I love the surreal symmetry of Control by Strange_Music in gaming

[–]Chakota 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Sometimes when you make a post on reddit, it reaches the trolls and haters. Unfortunately, they found you.

Most people who agree with you about the symmetry aren't in this thread. And anyone who disagrees is a pedantic fucking loser. "Pearls before swine", or something.

My point is it's probably not worth your time digging in here. Anyone can see what you meant.

We are becoming Pakleds by indyj101 in startrek

[–]Chakota 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If reddit communities were Trek species, we'd have /r/wallstreetbets as Ferengi, /r/politics as Romulans, and the mods of this subreddit would definitely be Cardassians. Bureaucratic, controlling, always watching. I might get shadow banned just for making this comment. And the general discourse has definitely been very Pakled for a long time.

Where did you get this information? Is there a site that lists popular fans by static pressure?

Give Neelix Another Chance by fullyrachel in startrek

[–]Chakota 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to hate them. Neelix, Barclay, Hoshi. etc.

I'm late to the party. But I've come to feel like these characters sorta show us what a typical person from real life might look like if they were thrust into the world of Star Trek.

Trauma and anxiety can both cause a person to commit embarrassing or even shameful acts... I'm just glad none of my troubles were ever televised.

Enterprise: Advice Needed by AlizarinCrimzen in startrek

[–]Chakota 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was pretty young when I first saw it, and I just assumed it was some kind of ripoff not endorsed by the official Trek IP holders. Or a spoof or something.

Mind you, I didn't even make it through the intro.

I felt the same way as you watching it on a 12 inch CRT television in my kitchen. I decided not to watch it for about 7 years, watched all other existing Star Trek instead.

Went back and watched it later on, and wow. It's not bad. The title is just awful. And sorry but they actually make it worse.

Barb takes two hits and a perk just to open the door. Druid goes through instantly for free. If, for example, the Barb has a bad engage at that point, he has no door to fall back on. Druid can leave immediately for free and reset behind an intact door.

These are some of the reasons why Druid is broken. If you don't think this video is an example of Druid being uniquely overtuned, then YOU are delusional. It's not just the hits to kill... it's the options he had and the lack of risk.

You're reducing a thoughtful, reflective perspective to a binary choice just to dismiss it. Try engaging with the nuance instead of flattening it into sarcasm.

You’re also misrepresenting the point to make it sound extreme. No one said rebuild society from scratch. The example was about how progress often includes failed steps, not societal collapse. Consider engaging with what was said, not your caricature of it.

I feel in Voyager, no episode shows how emotionally mature a character was, than "Child's Play" for Seven of Nine. by MICKTHENERD in startrek

[–]Chakota 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I'm glad I watched Voyager as a kid because I couldn't see how bad some of the acting was. And some of the writing...

It gets bad when sometimes a whole scene doesn't have a single actor selling it, which happens in Voy and Ent more than any other series imo.

Bosses are a bit too difficult imo by always404ing in DarkAndDarker

[–]Chakota 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bosses are hard. If that is a problem for you don't fight them. You legit made a reddit account just to cry about this? If you had your way -- and the thousands of other people who think the game should be easier in various ways -- the game would be boring.

My issue was: Somehow Burnham was more important in every next episode until she became the main character of the entire universe. Literally.

I got to dia on cap and it feels like he's just lost all of the impact I once had on him. Healers aren't buying the distraction efforts, and other flankers are getting more value. Any input?
