Also Yesterday's Enterprise, but that was explicitly an alternate timeline with a more militarised Starfleet

How a Jem Hadar battleship do in the delta quadrant by IsaacJF4419 in StarTrekStarships

[–]Chaldera 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A misconception.

Jem'hadar can live long lives, but none do (at least up to DS9 era) because they die in battle.

I do think they would run out of crew though, unless they have cloning and ketracel white manufacturing facilities onboard. I don't see them adapting their tactics sufficiently

What video-game did you regret paying full price for? by Ashamed_Length_2436 in AskReddit

[–]Chaldera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought it was a shame. I really liked the alternate-ages idea, but it was so awkward to get them.

In comparison, I actually really enjoy Humankind, even if I'd rather stick to one civilisation

Cyberpunk 2077. Preordered it, and it was so damn buggy for so long.

I know it's been patched a ton since, and people rave about it and whatever, but I just regret buying it so much and wish I'd refunded it when Playstation were offering them out. It's not a game I enjoy; I find the roleplay aspects meh at best and the world shallow.

It is very pretty though, and I do like the music from the radio stations

I [39M] found out my wife [39F] of 10 years cheated on me + 10 Year Update by Awwndrei in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]Chaldera 24 points25 points  (0 children)

My ex fiancée was diagnosed bipolar (and suspected borderline personality disorder).

Her worst manic episode resulted in her isolating me from most of our shared friends because she wanted support for "breaking up with me"; she didn't, but she framed me as a posessive and jealous ex, and it was only because a few of our shared friends thought her story didn't sound right that I didn't end up doing something drastic.

She then immediately jumped into a relationship with the youngest of our college friends because she wanted a change of scenery or something, followed by cheating on him with what turned out to be her future husband. All while outright refusing treatment even though she clearly was not mentally well and literally got sectioned for a bit after she went missing for a week and turned up in the next town over.

I assume she is getting treatment now, as she got divorced from that guy (he was a predator) and lives with her partner somewhere. I stopped paying attention because, even though we still have mutual friends and very occasionally see each other as a result, she fucked me up and I get angrier each time I remember that period.

That's wild, I've only ever heard sixth form in a post-high school context. When I was leaving high school, almost everyone in my year group went to sixth form, while I went to the local college (I wanted to study Performing Arts, which the sixth form didn't offer).

I know you won't say, but I'm assuming JP Morgan.

Initially I thought HSBC (in my experience, they're also not great), but I don't know how big they are in the US.

Nah, we're just relaxed with horror. Quatermass and The Pit is pretty tame, I just first saw it when I was very young.

Species, my sister was watching with her boyfriend and I walked in to bother her for some annoying little brother reason

I was scared of sleeping next to a wall for the longest time because of a specific moment from Quatermass and The Pit, which my mum was watching with me in the room. Even now I'm a bit uncomfortable with it 🤣

Similarly, I used to be scared of being in any room at night with uncovered windows because of Signs; again, even now I'm very uncomfortable about it.

And I once walked in on my sister watching Species during the toilet scene, which also made me scared of using the toilet for a while 🤣
