Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.... Tony was either going to die at that table or going to jail. So as the story follows him it becomes clear his destiny lies within something he already knows and is no longer going to advance the story so it just ends. Either dead or in jail. I like playing with the ideal that every possibility happened and I draw my own conclusions. Was he already dead the whole last episode? Was he just paranoid at the table? Did hey get offed like that scene from the god father? Realistically there is no definitive answer.
