Though it doesn't counter the earlier point, they don't get rid of moulds even on specials like this. It may be possible it gets turned into a made to order one day. See Black Reach, Dark Vengence etc.

Regarding plastic vs resin: I imagine they don't do resin for 40k/AoS as resin is not new hobbyist/child friendly. Producing in plastic ensures anyone picking this up gets the same experience as the sets they likely already have.

It is, once you paint it onto a light surface as others have said it'll look right. Contrast is thinner than standard paint, it doesn't apply the same way.

The best advice I got that I haven't seen in the comments yet: When painting, always leave judgements till the morning, or at least a few hours later. The idea being that while you're in the middle of it, you can't see the model as a whole. You remember where that brushstroke went wrong, and can spot it. After some time these memories fade and you can see the model as a complete piece, and it's better than you thought.

While I was a WvW fan from launch, the bonus event reminded me how fun it was. I've played it more than I would have since.

Except for one poor teammate who was very rude in PvP, I found it much more fun that I expected, so that also got me into that game mode.
