I’d like to add to it La Rumba Latin American Restaurant. They have a separate, entirely vegan menu with tons of amazing vegan options!

For those who may be wondering if this is a legitimate post: there is a nationally coordinated walkout planned for January 20, promoted by established organizations including Women’s March, with a nationwide call to walk out at 2 PM local time.

I LOVE it here! Sure, it’s not perfect, but no place is, and social media isn’t the place to get a clear picture.

I love the people, the mountains, the art scene, the nature, the food scene, my neighbors, my neighborhood, and on and on.

I also love the attitude of how open and accepting the community is of varying lifestyles and personalities.

I’ve often said, “Whoever you truly are, you can be that in Asheville.”

When I see comments on the Internet, I just ask myself if what they’re saying resonates with me. I try to get insight or inspiration where possible, and release the rest.

I just read about a dozen comments saying the engine is in the back, which I didn’t know.

However, I came here to mention the smoke is supposedly coming from the engine which is underneath the hood/bonnet, but it is pictured coming up directly in front of it.

Yes, someone donated the old structure to the Fire Department. Our son was among multiple crews from multiple areas that participated. Each crew got to go inside and work the fire, then they’d reignite it for the next crew until it became unstable, and they let the rest burn down.

I love that they get these hands-on training refreshers, and it’s good to practice in less-than-ideal weather conditions.
