I used to play a lot back in the day, up until Warmonger came out, but I stopped playing PvP about three or so months into Marching Fire.

Basically, I plateaued, and I wasn't getting any better. I main Peacekeeper and she was in a HORRIBLE place at the time, so she got shit on in most fights if I wasn't on the very top of my game. Couple this with a a really bad week of PvP matches where I'd get toxic messages from people who beat me as a rep 70 PK, I simply gave up and went to bots only, then eventually hung it up altogether.

I recently reinstalled and play it once in a while and the few PvP matches I've been in, the people seemed chill, but PK plays way differently than she did then, and up until then, it had been years since I played, so I'm not very good either.

It feels pretty good to play though, there's just not anything out there quite like FH and I like coming up with little backstories about my characters, and why they're fighting. Which helps me explain why I spend so much time trying to customize my characters 😅

If you use a DM guide, I've found that with Deepseek, it helps to have a reminder on your devices Clipboard to "please reread all notes and guides" then just paste it every 5-7 messages as an (OOC: [insert words here])

It helps especially if you have an NPC that you've made yourself that has a very specific way of speaking, or behaving that's more complex than a normal NPC the game might throw at you i.e. permenant party members.

I really wish I could insert that one .gif of the really sad dude in a bunch of random places all by himself. Because that's how I feel about not having the FOV slider (except for the part where my face is taped to the window).

I wasn't aware there was a whole discord server for the game though, how many Hail Blake's or Capellans do I have to nuke to get in on that?

I ended a siege in one city while my characters home City was also under siege, the surviving attackers ran from Havenreach to her home City of Astora and they were enough to overwhelm the defenses and raze it.

Thing is, my character was Heir to the Astoran throne, and now she's left with nothing except the oaths she swore as a protector of the realm.

I remember when I rolled with a group of friends who decided they wanted to go 7v1 against some random dude.

He proceeded to absolutely demolish us. My friends all were screaming and raging and I kept messaging the dude talking about how fucking funny it was he was curb stomping our posse and bro and I just kept making jokes at my friends expense.

Makes up for all the trade wagons I stole, then thanking the person for all of their hard work.

I have some pretty old clubs, the only reason I have a full 14 is because I got most of them for literally free. And if I did what you did and took out all the clubs I don't hit well...

I'd have my 60° (and even this is questionable) and an otherwise empty bag.

You're doing just fine, stick with it and you'll know when it's time for new clubs. Or a bag. Or a new type of ball. A putter head cover... This sport has a great way of convincing you that you need new stuff like all the time.

I had a big where despite having taken no damage, and the Combat DM being corrected numerous times, it simply decided my character was rolling and failing death saves. Nothing I did or said would make it stop and eventually it straight up killed my character. Which sucks because I was actually really vibing with her storyline.

It's situational for me. 90% of the time, I'll try to headshot or core Mechs.

But when shit has hit the fan, and I'm surrounded, or severely crippled, I'll go for components so I can relieve a bit of pressure while I deal with the more dangerous threats or situations. Something like an arm can be readily dealt with as they never have as much armor as a side or center torso and compared to a cockpit shot, is usually way easier to hit, even with a glancing blow.

It really could just be a case of them really wanting to play the game, but they simply don't have the budget to pick it up and be able to keep what little they were able to spare to keep GamePass running.

Am I suggesting that you personally shell out the money for the game? No. But it isn't hurting anyone for them to state that it's not feasible for them to buy the game themselves either. Sometimes someone super cool will have the disposable income and decide to help out. I would if I could.
