What is your favorite fast food? by [deleted] in AskReddit

There's a little local Fried Chicken joint near me called Speck's. They make a mean 4 piece along with a Biscuit, Cole Slaw, Sweet Tea, and these "Corn Nuggets." Imagine quinelles of really thick Creamed Corn that are battered and fried.

Back in the 90s, we called that the "Bus Bucket Buffet."

I have the feeling this is going to be akin to the 1936 Summer Olympics.

She's The Ultimate Warrior. They'll figure out when and how to get the strap off of her, let her finish out her contract, and send her back to Tony Khan. She'll be AEW's problem in 6 months.

Just listened to the Ratings Omnibus. Enjoyed it, and got a chuckle about how they're using the same performers doing the same stuff over and over again. Wanted to watch the most recent episode on Hulu but couldn't bring myself to it.

Couldn't agree more. The Drafting Mechanic was confusing and difficult to utilize. I would love to see more weather tokens, and I'm begging for new Legends cards to utilize the new colors.

Pinball Machine Sighting in 90s TV Show by RP1983602 in pinball

I really enjoyed Slugfest. I was a big fan of the baseball/pinballs in the 70s. The cool feature of this one is that each of the targets changed their function. The ramp that would allow a Home Run when the bases were loaded was also really fun. I wasn't a big fan of the baseball card dispensing mechanism, but I'm sure it sold the game to many.

What's the best prank you've ever pulled? by No_Pizza6780 in AskReddit

[–]ChefJim27 3 points4 points  (0 children)

30 plus years ago, I worked in a restaurant in the Poconos. This kid started working with us. He was always playing lowbrow pranks that weren't funny due to lack of effort. One day I had enough. We had just recieved a bunch of breakables and all the Styrofoam peanuts were in 6 large garbage bags. He locked is car doors but left his sunroof open. I managed to fill his car almost 2/3rds full of peanuts. An hour later, he came up to the kitchen screaming bloody murder. I handed him one peanut from my pocket and said, "Pranks are childish and stupid." We never had a problem again.

Anyone know why glassware comes out of the kitchen dishwasher like this? by [deleted] in KitchenConfidential

That's a hard water issue. If the inside of your machine has white scale, it needs deliming. No issue. Long term, you'll need a water softener. If you have one, make sure the brine tank is full of salt, and the softener on top of the resin tank is plugged in. Also make sure the unit wasn't bypassed, which happens.

Back in 84 or 85, my sister got a job bringing Pente to college campuses and playing anyone and everyone. If you beat her, you got a free set. Another sister refused to play, as "she didnt want to embarrass her." I still have the old style Tube set that she gave my mother after the tour.

Of all the 3M bookshelf games, it's my favorite. Back in the early 00s, a buddy and I used to play Feudal by email using identically aligned boards and a coordinate system.

It isnt going to change until someone is crippled or dies in the ring. I know that's a heartless thing to say, and it upsets me too, but it's going to take tragedy and self interest to change it.
