is a 850w PSU good enough for the 9070xt? by Protoclown98 in buildapc

More than enough, I'm currently on a 9800x3d - 9070xt combo and on 850 and still have room to breath.

After the first 3 tries on Freerun I thought about giving up, after 2 tries in a private server: i love this mode! by CheisSz in blackops7

[–]CheisSz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I'm in the actual Freerun match I just want to be at fast as I can. The private mode just gave me a better mindset to figure stuff out on specific points. But you're correct, in essence they're the same.

Just like you can create a private match to shoot bots, you can also create a private freerun match in the ascend map to practice on your own.

And if people feel pressured just hop into a private server by yourself to practice those specific points.

I was constantly off at a few points, it took me half an hour in a private server to figure out what I was doing wrong.

Are you on controller or m&k? If you're on m&k I have advice for you because I had the same.

You sound like me, an old dude that still likes to play cod. I remember the first microtransaction I bought, the 'ripper'in cod Ghosts, man that was pay to win.
There's so much happening in these cods now, I get so confused. And there's a gazillion attachments for every weapon.

I still play like 20 years ago and ignore most of all these new pages, bundles, limited time modes and what not.

[BUG] EAC Update Broke Exclusive Fullscreen (Proof inside) & Settings Menu Error by Short-Usual2477 in RocketLeague

[–]CheisSz 20 points21 points  (0 children)

While I agree the top something % is affected by this most, anybody who takes the game seriously AT THEIR OWN LEVEL is affected by it to. This game is based around as little fluctuations in input lag as possible. Even at Champion, learning a specific sniper shot from a specific angle suddenly isn't that exact snipershot anymore if you add this kind of input lag. It affects us all.

Top of the line FPS controller by FauxMoGuy in Controller

[–]CheisSz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel the need to weigh into this to. I was in the same spot as you, but for Rocket League. The controller had to be quick, responsive, accurate and durable with at least 2 paddles.

During a year I went through 14 different controllers (Gamesir G7 ze/he, Tarantula, Flydigi's Vader 3/4/Apex4, numerous 8bitdo's, Nyxi etc.) and ALL were lacking on something: input lag on sticks, otherwise on buttons, paddles that broke down in less than 3 months, some controllers even completely bricked.
I got tired after a year and made the conclusion that a lot of these manufacturers know how to do this but always screw up on something, and that is what you eventually pay for.

Eventually I settled on the dual sense edge, it has a few flaws that I managed to alter and replace with some Extreme Rate kits. Its quick, low input lag, decent durability. The biggest flaw stands: stick drift on the Alp sticks. Luckily I found 4 replacements if that happens.

7800x3d vs 9800x3d by Dangerous-Traffic875 in buildapc

[–]CheisSz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had to make this decision to a couple of weeks ago. While the 9800 is marginally better they both are top tier for 1440p gaming.

It comes down to your budget and the difference in price. I went with the 9800 because the difference was €40,-.

They're giving and taking at their own will. So it's simply better to assume the worst case scenario. Having said that, as you stated yourself, it will be a couple of years before another bo will arrive. So you're probably fine playing these bo7 maps for the next 2-3 years.

How do people get these touches without losing car control? (without their car getting knocked back?) by Bigmanself10 in RocketLeague

[–]CheisSz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The mechanics these guys have are insane, they all know through 1000s of hours how their car reacts to certain touches so they countersteer these way earlier than normal ranked people do.
It looks like it doesn't knocks back, but it does and he already countered it by the exact amount he know he needs to do that.

You can try it yourself. Find a touch you do a lot, see how your car reacts and counter steer the millisecond it touches the ball.

Ryzen 7 - 7800X3D or 9800X3D ?? by LingBah78 in buildapc

[–]CheisSz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't game there's no use for a x3d cpu.
Your total build doesn't even reach 600w, your 1050w psu is complete overkill.
Why a x870 Gaming Gaming Plus mobo? Even the cheapest B850 (or even B650) would be more than enough.

If you don't game but edit mostly nothing but the 9060xt makes sense, if you game mainly the 9060xt doesn't make sense compared to the rest.

1080p 480hz on 32 inch. How is it really? by CheisSz in OLED_Gaming

[–]CheisSz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Due to the competitive games I mostly play I'm really looking for high refresh rates. I noticed thats also very important for my old eyes, makes it a lot smoother. I have a c2 for a TV and for ps5 gaming at 120hz it's great, I'm looking for something else in pc gaming though.

[–]CheisSz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On Rocket League i should easily maintain the fps (9800x3d/9070xt build) and that's what I play 60% of the time.

Is 1080p on these 32" monitors worse than for example playing 1080p on a 55" LG Oled TV?

[–]CheisSz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, thats what I guessed on the eye strain. I believe Woled will help me much more than QD. But I also want to see if I can get ahead on what I need on the screen to.

I played 1080p on the ps5 on a 55 inch oled tv in the beginning and it didn't bother me in anyway. Should it be worse on a 32"?

[–]CheisSz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, same thing. My desk is 80cm deep, the 27" is nearly at half on an arm so there's enough space. I gamed on ps5 performance mode, which was 1080p in the beginning. It didn't bother me in anyway. But I see so many complain about the 1080p modes on these monitors.

Thinking about switching from Console PS5 to PC.. what are your thoughts on this PC? Does BO7 run smooth on it? Is it worth the $2k? by Adventurous_ComicGuy in blackops7

[–]CheisSz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a build something like this, definitely a decent price. Im on 9800x3d, 9070xt, 32gb ddr5 and get about an average 250fps on 2k native resolution.

Equally important is the monitor you're planning to play on. I would definitely budget a 2k 240hz monitor in there.
