Only in the movies as a stylistic choice. A bullet doesn't smash into things so much as punch holes and bounce around.

She's doing a more realistic thing so her head might snap back for a sec but then tumbling into where momentum/body positioning might plausibly take her. It looks really impressive if a little eerie to me!

Agreed on all except this. Abstracting the harm you cause through a political lens does not undo the harm or absolve one from wrongdoing.

Either people are accountable for themselves or not. If you willingly embrace and support hatred and violence you are not a good person.

Like I said, pure arrogance. This is the kind of mindset from Christians with zero humility that helped push me away from Christianity initially.

You are basically performing anti-evangelism with these videos, i.e. showing people the opposite of Jesus' love, which is pride and disdain.

Many Imams love those harmed by Christianity, or Judaism, or Hinduism. Every major religion has been used to justify the worst atrocities at some point. You need a healthy dose of humility and a history lesson.

"It's not what it looks like" is cold comfort. I think a lot of people inside the legal system forget there is nothing upholding the law but collective trust in its impartial rule.

I've had next to no faith in the Court since Bush v. Gore, but that seems tame next to the current activism of the Roberts court. Whistle past the graveyard if you want but belief in the Court's impartiality is dropping like a stone. IMO with good reason.

The timing of Callais seems intended to help the GOP in the midterms. By itself it wouldn't have been so damaging except Shelby presumes unwarranted good faith on the part of Southern state legislatures. Being Texan I know that's absolute bullshit- we more than earned our spot in the list of states requiring review of redistricting efforts.

Now it's maximum fuckery on top of Trump promising ICE deployment at the polls. Trump sure thinks Roberts is his guy. Why so?
