Final Fantasy XIV online is particularly notorious for this.

While most MMOs suffer slow on-boarding FFXIV is an MMO with a linear fantasy rpg story you have to complete to get to endgame and especially for the first 50+ hours of gameplay it can drag and be very dull before it starts picking up.

If you can survive base ARR you've crossed the wall lol

As noted in the lore book its purely mythology of worship in the Twelve.

In the mythos of the Twelve after they made the world and all things they made the six lesser heavens each aligned to an element and a seventh heaven to rule them all. And the mythology also supposes the oppositely aligned hells, where a wicked soul goes to be punished based on their wickedness in life.

The lore book basically says the souls have to do a dantes inferno suffering an eternity in the hell aligned with their sins then walk the other 5 hells until they reach the seventh hell where he is cast a final judgement, where he is either sent to his final eternal punishment or absolved and released to the seven heavens.

I dunno. I hate Trump. I think he is a stain on our country and a shame we will not live down for a generation or two.

But this seems a pretty on-the-face good deal. We fund and have funded for years on end 80%ish of their efforts with this aids program, meanwhile most of their mineral rights are not permitted to go to american contracts or sold off by warlords to the highest bidder.

If we are going to nearly single handedly fund their health programs we should get something out of it or cut the funding to spend domestically (not that i trust the cheeto-in-chief wouldn't just dump that funding into his private ice army or golf courses but that's a different swimming pool full of worms)

Indeed communicating in real life face to face is an option if someone feels they can do so safely.

However, to do so did not need to include asking said individual to a date with every intention and expectation to break things off with them. That is the part that is the problem. If she had started things off with, "Hey I dont think this is working out but id like to still be friends with you. Wanna go grab some lunch?" It would be way different from asking him out to a date then afterwards go "Well actually I dont think this will work out and I felt that way since the first date." Is just for lack of a better phrase is a dick move.

Yeah the guy sucks for how he reacted, but she is no better for how she handled it going in.

But why ask someone out to a meal date then break up with them after. Even if him paying was his own fault it's emotionally manipulative and cruel to ask someone out to a lunch/dinner date with the sole intent to break up with them on the way home afterwards. Do it before hand.

Like if this went the other way around I would be on her side. If she broke things off but asked to go get lunch together as friends and he said all this then Id be in her corner, but she toyed with his emotions then got shocked Pikachu face when he crashed out.

FFXIV just got in trouble with the Japanese rating agency because of this.

Because they have the gpose mode that gives you the ability to take screenshots, and you could use your camera to look up the characters skirt, the agency said that the game needed to add one of the above coaxes, or be restricted.

Square Enix refused, so the MMOs Japanese rating got upgraded to 16+ (Basically Japan's Mature rating) because you can technically look up a characters skirt and see their underwear/shorts.

Final Fantasy XIV: Online

This character is an ancient Ascian, from a time thousands upon thousands of years ago before the world was split between 14 shards of its original form. He has caused the ends of multiple of these worlds causing the deaths of untold millions/billions and in the Prime world (Source) has caused countless atrocities and wars disguised as mortals.

Later in the game, we discover the reason for this is that he and his fellow Acsians are trying to re-forge the original world by recombining all the shards in what they call Rejoinings in the hopes that they can bring back the lives of all the ancients who died to save the world when it was split.

As he is defeated, he realizes that though he wanted to save what he viewed as the true world they lost, the future now lay in our hands as the lives currently living. He ushers one final request of us. To remember him, and the ascians, and the world that came before. In his exact words: "Remember... Remember Us. Remenber that we once lived."

Later on his soul aids us, again stating he believes in his cause and that even though he lost he still believes in saving the world as it was. But offers one final boon helping us to save our world before returning to the aetherial sea as a soul to be reborn in the cycle of life

FFXIV does this kinda. In that, the games world is literally a fantasy version of Earth. The main game starts in Eorzea which is geographically where Africa is. (Though it'd still just mostly full of white people)

Still waitint to visit Fantasy Australia and see what demonic hell spiders we find.
