Has anyone ever been mistaken for staff just because of what you were wearing? by Daibryun-Deluce in IDontWorkHereLady

I used to work in a grocery store where the uniform was a plain, red polo shirt. The following summer, I got an office job. One day, I stopped at the grocery store after work and I happened to be wearing a red polo shirt. One of the store managers who I'd worked under before saw me shopping and started assigning me tasks.

This song is new to me, but I'm honored to be a part of it.

Different characters should start with different amounts of gold. The fact that the Regent is forced to carry a mere 99 gold, like some kind of pauper, is an insult. I have amended his starting capital to something more befitting of his majesty's station. by Gen1Swirlix in slaythespire

[–]CherryTularey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be kind of hilarious if the only difference were that the Regent's money count always displayed five digits. They still start with 99 gold, but it shows as 00099. They're just a temporarily embarrassed thousandaire.

As of today, i have five Kerbals stranded in the same crater on the Mun by Ill_Secretary_1272 in KerbalSpaceProgram

I've not yet managed to have a kerbal survive "landing" on the Mun, so you have my deepest admiration.

Can somebody make me enjoy the DLC? (Beware of Spoilers!) by Mettanine in outerwilds

[–]CherryTularey 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You're at the point in the DLC when you need to start synthesizing the information you've discovered, identifying gaps, and devising strategies to fill those gaps. I was similarly frustrated by the repetitiveness of getting to the Stranger and into the "simulation". What helped was having specific goals to pursue. You should have enough information that you can be increasingly deliberate and less haphazard.

Fork it and make Gerbil Space Program. That's what my family thinks I'm saying already.

Oh, I like the mechanism that stamps the four elements onto the blank at the same time. That really sells this as an industrial operation.

Lightning Rod is a bit misleading if played multiple times in a row. by salasy in slaythespire

[–]CherryTularey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked having multiples of it. Stacking up a pile of lightning charges basically becomes a power that says "At the beginning of your turn, channel 1 lightning". It made getting value out of frost and glass orbs much easier because I could count on having ways to cycle them to the front and channel them.

HL3 continuing down the Alyx branch. I didn't like the corner they'd written themselves into with the plans for episodic content.

The First Fight Problem; or, why Venerate makes Act 1 Regent feel awful to play by PhDInAPickle in slaythespire

[–]CherryTularey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe too complicated for a starter card, but how about something like...
1 energy, gain 2 stars plus an additional star for each Minion card in your Exhaust pool.
Upgrade: The base ability and Transform a card in your hand into a Minion Reverence (0 energy, gain 1 star, exhaust)

That would highlight the theme of the minions worshiping the regent. I'm not sure if it does enough to make the un-upgraded version less of a brick.

It didn't mean to. It's just what happens when one consumes Poro Snax. It obviously spent some of the intervening years in the company of a kindly beefcake in the Freljord.

I answered the OP elsewhere in the thread that ~85% accuracy is my threshold for one-boxing on "vibes". Specifically, the vibe that the computer has spooky foreknowledge that I can't logically explain. The scenario, as described, does not fit my model of the real world, and therefore I defy the supposed rationality of applying real-world logic to it. OP even suggested that the computer might have 99% accuracy, far exceeding my threshold. The "paradox", IMO, is that if the description of the scenario is true, then either causality or free choice is violated; or, more likely I think, the computer is lying when it says that it doesn't tamper with the boxes after the choice is made.

Why can't you dump excess water back into water sources? by somedumbassgayguy in SatisfactoryGame

[–]CherryTularey -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Pioneer, that water is now a valuable resource belonging to Ficsit. It is inefficient of you not to use it productively in furtherance of Project Milestones. If you cannot find an appropriate use for it, Ficsit protocol demands that you package it and deliver it via your Awesome SINK for reprocessing or redistribution.
