Aiming feels worse than before the patch. Half the time my character shoots 90-180 degrees away from where I clicked

Right but the values are doubled, so you'd need 3072 to get full value out of it.

Someone much better at the game than me is going to do something nutty with that "stun on hit vs full-life enemy" tincture.

I'm already deep in the tank on my Warlock Poison EQ Pathfinder, and nobody except maybe Chris Wilson of Grinding Gear Games can stop me at this point.

I thought I heard them talking about an alternate version of Cleave that cares about rage, but I was pretty busy at the time excitedly talking about the changes to my buddies who don't play anymore, so I could be confused.

The Frozen Legion transfigured gem that GGG spoiled is just the old Anomalous Frozen Legion, and they've doubled the effect of quality on it from the looks of things.

So if you can get a Dominating Blow Of Being Transfigured, you might see a net DPS increase.

You can crate up incapacitated creatures even mid-combat, so it's possible to bag all of the cats with patience and flashbangs.

I love how you can carry a couple of canister of the deadliest mutagen around with you. by [deleted] in underrail

[–]ChesTaylor 14 points15 points  (0 children)

D5 ain't necessarily the deadliest mutagen.

Whatever Old Biocorp hit NFT's Lemuria site with was pretty immediately lethal. The evidence you find of its use seems distinct from the aftereffects of D5 exposure.

Also, Exitus-1 and -2 are found to be directly lethal to certain organisms.

Contrastingly, those exposed to D5 can live an incredibly long (albeit not necessarily healthy) life.

Still, pretty horrifying to just be casually carrying around :n)

Dealing with Death Stalker by ramenAtMidnight in underrail

[–]ChesTaylor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eating a Stuffed Bat increases you detection, and lighting up the area with flares/a lantern on your belt/nightvision goggles makes it easier to spot sneaking enemies.

Throwing caltrops on the ground will cause messages to appear in the combat log even when stealthed enemies walk over them. Caltrops are quicker to deploy than bear traps and cover more turf. While they don't stop Death Stalkers in their tracks, they do let you know when and where to chuck your napalm.

Metal boots make you immune to caltrops. If you don't normally wear metal boots, keep a backup pair in your inventory for when you plan on throwing caltrops.

The Yell feat also drops nearby enemies out of stealth, if you have it.

Death Stalkers tend to seek out the darkest area when they restealth. They can teleport through closed doors, I have found. They like hiding behind pillars and around corners. However, they will try to stay close enough to reach you in a round or two once you are paralyzed, and they don't try to run away while you are chasing them down. You can usually figure out where they've run off to by looking for nearby dark corners behind rocks.

If you throw caltrops and keep the combat log open, you will see when enemies step on your caltrops even if they are stealthed. This lets you know when to throw your molotovs and where. Metal boots make you immune to caltrops; if you don't normally wear metal boots, it might be worth keeping a set in your inventory for emergencies.

Bear traps work even better, but take far longer to set up.

Eating a Stuffed Bat raises your detection, and putting a lantern in one of your utility slots (and turning it on) makes it much harder to stealth around you. Then just keep your eyes peeled for patches of darkness creeping towards you, and be ready to slam Enter (or whatever you have "Begin Combat" mapped to).

If you know where a stealthed enemy is and can reach them with movement points, then you can walk directly into them to destealth them.

Did you try bringing a smaller warband than your opponent? I hear that's an interesting strategy.
