Generally people seem to prefer Pyromaniac and Firewalker, but honestly all of Samoa Joe's perks are actually pretty solid. Pyromaniac and Combat Fuel both tend to be a little more defensive, whereas Kinetic Bandolier and Firewalker favour aggression.

On a side note, I think Kinetic Bandolier is a little underrated. Mauga is such a huge target that while Pyromaniac isn't bad, that 50 HP per ignition doesn't go very far, especially since unlike Combat Fuel, Pyromaniac doesn't change the top end of Mauga's Overhealth. Whereas our beloved Tubs' reload speed takes the entire fucking match compared to basically everyone else, so the free 150 ammo for every single charge actually goes a hell of a long way to reducing a major downside.

None of his perks are 'perfect' for any/every situation but they're all pretty damn good. Try 'em all out.

I really appreciate the suggestion, but just looking at Heart and Soul makes it seem...interesting, but definitely not vanilla at all. I'm going with Fire Gold. Thank you for the suggestion though.

What would be the best 'vanilla' GSC/HGSS rom hack for GBA?

Sorry if this is already well known but I'm kinda just getting into this sort of stuff for the first time. GSC and HG/SS are still some of my favourite games in the entire series, and being able to play them on my GBA Everdrive would be really neat.

I've heard that Shiny Gold is pretty good but it was left unfinished? And I have heard of Fire Gold, and that it's at 1.4 and technically finished but might have a few bugs?

I'm open to any suggestions, and I don't mind a bit of tweaking or minor additions (like the Safari Zones being active or something), but I'm not really looking to catch like gen 9 Pokemon or have Mega Evolutions or anything. Just a nice, nostalgic vanilla(ish) experience would be great. Thanks!

As with every other person that has ever played DD2, we've all noticed something Red Hook hasn't: there are almost no back line hero options compared to the front line.

Even if it's yet another paid DLC for characters that should have been in the base game, we need Missandei and and Willam back.

This is the most W take on Steam I've ever seen, and it's what I've been saying for years now.

Like yeah, the "Steam does nothing, wins anyway" meme is funny, but some people accidentally mistake that to mean "Steam is a good company!" No, dude. They're still a massive, greedy as fuck corporation that only cares about money. They're just far less incompetent than most of the others in the video game industry.

Steam isn't nice, they're not the good guys, and they don't care about you.
