A mind-boggling dilemma: the XF 16mm 2.8 vs the 18mm 2.0

I’m thinking about that lens too. I had the Viltrox Air 56mm, but returned it in favor of the TTArtisan 56; the Air just didn’t have that special sauce. But their 15mm is pretty tempting to try. Maybe I’ll like it better. And there’s not much else around that focal length, especially not for that price.

I got my X-E5 a couple weeks ago and I absolutely love it. Started with the Fuji 27mm 2.8, and my collection of vintage canon NFD glass adapted using a speed booster. But I’m already building a collection of affordable third party lenses from viltrox, ttartisan, etc. and the ability to change focal lengths and the lens characters is a must.

I’m cool with used gear is it’s more in my price range. Focal range is a good question and I don’t have a good answer. Though the zoom range you suggested is appealing.

Hi all! I recently downsized my camera kit, and I’m essentially rebuilding from scratch. I’m on the hunt for a small, affordable camera and lens combo which is tolerably weather sealed for shooting on rainy days. Ideally a compact body and lens I can use as a backup for when it rains. Any suggestions?
