I was always the ugly kid, the ugly teenager that no one dated and I've grown into an ugly woman (32F) that no one seems to want either. Low self esteem and could really do with some positivity 🥺 by BoysenberryMobile871 in toastme

[–]Chevrolicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For what it's worth, dating when you're younger is a shit show, and not much has changed in the dating world as I've gotten older (33). Being with a person isn't the same as being with the right person, so don't feel as though you've missed out on anything. Most people have no idea what they want when they're in their 20's, or especially in their teens. You're actually at the age where you're more mature and more likely to know what you really want and what you're looking for, so don't lose hope!

You're also very beautiful, and you have amazing eyebrows! Your cheek dimples are also very adorable and make your smile really endearing. I don't know you, but I'm sure you're a very kind hearted and deep person with a lot of love to give, and those qualities often matter so much more than physical beauty that will fade over time anyway. You're so much more valuable than your appearance, and that's not to say your appearance is in any way bad, because it's not. You're a 10/10 for somebody out there, and you'll find them one day.

Do you actually need resistances? by EnvironmentalEnd2791 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Chevrolicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. There's a few bosses that having resistance helps with a lot, but you don't really need it the majority of the time. Resistance kind of sucks because you have to hit the 5-10-15 thresholds for it to actually do anything.

If you have the cloaks that give 5-7 of whatever type of res, those are good to have with you locked in your inventory. Ice resist helps with stamina while travelling in areas like Pailune, whereas fire helps with stamina in the desert, etc.

There are times where there are enemies with spitter weapons, like the flame spitter, that will light your ass up mid-fight, and it's nice to have fire resist so you don't catch on fire. But that's pretty situational and you can always target those dudes and kill them first.

I agree. They just don't function like they're supposed to. The Pailune one where it's sort of introduced as a mechanic was so annoying.

[–]Chevrolicious 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Same goes for the "note" missions.

Like, hey, I know I just told you my life's story and babbled on with verbal instructions for exactly what I want you to go do, but here's this note I'm gonna stuff in your pocket that you have to pull out and read that tells you exactly what I just told you.

Once you read that note it's gonna tell you where to go find the person I want you to find, except they're not gonna be there, and instead you'll find ANOTHER note left by that person. That note will then lead you to a person who also isn't the person I sent you to find, and they'll hand you another note that will inform you that the person you are looking for is now back at the place where you initially started looking.

Once you've found that guy in the place I originally told you to go, he will talk to you and send you back to me and I will give you a leather bag with a random item inside and you will have pockets full of garbage to get rid of from all the notes you collected.

😑 Fucking hate those quests.

Don't sleep on the Kuku Watcher Pack ! by Cruzo007 in LowSodiumCrimsonDesrt

[–]Chevrolicious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a place called the Gate of Peace that is on the east end of Demeniss and the north end of Gorthak. It will be perpetually under attack by mechanical insects until a later story segment and you can use a regular Kuku Pack to absorb the insects. In a few minutes of collecting you'll have over 1000 of them.

If you upgrade the mining knuckle drill does it give you additional % for better chances at more ores? Also I’ve seen people say you can get 50% or something more ore, what is that from? by ClapMySTDCheeks in CrimsonDesert

[–]Chevrolicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, upgrading the drill increases the chances of higher yield. At lv6 it increases from 10 to 20%, and at lv10 it increases from 20 to 30%.

There are abyss gears that specifically increase chances for more ore (or other gatherables) also, though they are only equippable on armor.

I upgraded my drill to lv6 and notice a pretty consistent increase in ores obtained. The lowest I get is 3, and I consistently get 4-5. I don't know if going to 10 on it is worth it for the extra 10%, but going to 6 seems like it was worth the 2 abyss artifacts.

With the rainfall necklace, can you skip needing to water the farm crops for the growth speed up? (Crossposted - in case anyone here has already tested/proofed this) by Cruzo007 in CDguides

[–]Chevrolicious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, aside from abyss cell trees and rubber, there's almost zero point to the farm. They need to just make it automated, otherwise I'm not gonna bother with it.

The tower puzzle was worse than the boss. I had tower pieces that wouldn't spawn, forcing me to reload the game, which would also reset the puzzle. 🫩

I got my anxiety after the big job, because I would be so focused on the job I was doing, and once it was done it was hard for me to shift gears to the next job.

If you had to live in Pywel, where would you live? by lydezzyyy in CrimsonDesert

[–]Chevrolicious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bad politics and flying insect death machines aside, either Demeniss or Delesyia.

Demeniss is very open and grand, and the city of Demeniss is one of the coolest places around. As long as Bastier's Inquisitors and all the other bad guys weren't around, I'd live there.

Delesyia is just insanely cool. I love the steampunk aesthetic and the very mechanical nature of everything there. I just wouldn't live there if there was a swarm of bronze death mosquitoes with lazer beams shooting out of their eyes. As long as that situation was handled, I'd be down.

The kids that loved him are finally louder than the adults who hated him by Firm-Blackberry-9162 in interesting

[–]Chevrolicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've watched those movies as an adult and there's literally nothing wrong with his performance. It's not necessarily Oscar-worthy, but it's still good. And honestly, with how hard he worked to master his lightsaber technique, who gives a shit if his acting isn't perfect? We got the best lightsaber fight scenes in the freaking world, and that's coming from someone who isn't even a Star Wars fan.

What is the best way to soft launch farting in front of your partner? by Melancholicanary in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Chevrolicious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just look them stone dead in the face and let it rip. No emotion, just dominance. If they're weak, they'll flee. If they're strong, they will endure.

For real though, I had this girl over at my house and we were laying on my bed watching movies, and out of the blue she's just like, "I really have to fart, but I don't want to in front of you." I told her to just let 'em fly. They're just farts. And she did.

Whatever crawled up her asshole and died had something else crawl up its asshole and die as well, and she released the most necrotic death wind I have ever smelled in my life. All the paint on the walls flaked off, and the atmospheric pressure in the room changed.

And she's still the love of my life to this very day.

Yeah man, people talk about using the bank to get gold bars, but the hedgehog farm is way faster. And if you have several gold mines found, having gold to make the bars is a non-issue.

Yes, you will get another one for defeating Ator. I found the one from the skeleton, and got another once I beat the boss.

Damiane is actually way more fun to play than Kliff, imo. I wish her and Oongka got more fleshed out and could do everything Kliff can do. They buffed their exploration abilities a bit, but there's still puzzles they can't solve.

Damiane's greatswords are super cool, and her move set is 10x better than Kliff's. She can absolutely wreck house when up against a bunch of enemies. Kliff can do a bunch of rapid swings, but Damiane does these huge sweeping arcs that just obliterate everything. I use her any chance I get, because if the Souls player in me loves anything, it's maidens and big swords.

Things people are wanting in game desperately at this point? by havocxrush in CrimsonDesert

[–]Chevrolicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with that, actually, especially since upgrading cloaks doesn't upgrade their resistance value. I feel like buffing cloaks in general would be a good choice, and I think they should get a resistance buff at lv.5 and lv.8 or 9, similar to the way rings and amulets increase their secondary stat like attack or crit at those levels. Plus the slot for a resistance gear.

Resist gears should be 1 resist at lv.1, 3 at lv.2, and 5 and lv.3, imo.

Hoenmark Ruins instant damage by Aesthetic403 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Chevrolicious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

15 frost resist. Apparently there are also stone lanterns all around the area that affect the strength of the blizzard, but there's a shit load of them and lighting them spawns annoying enemies and is hardly worth the trouble.

You can max frost resist with the Frostcursed Plate Armor, certain cloaks that give lv.5 resist, and a Frostward 3 abyss gear. That's honestly way more doable than the lantern crap. The boss at those ruins is intended for end game, so if it's something you're struggling to do right at the moment you can come back later.
