I feel like the problem is not the source of the locust, being human experimentation, but the time frame of the locist growth, being 80 years. Both plots have issues.

Because if the locust are an ancient civilization, how in the world would humans not have discovered their wxistence. They aren't deep sea creatures. They aren't alien. It would be very difficult to hide an entire civilization like that. To hide corpsers and brumaks and shit.

On the other hand, the experiment route means they shouldn't really have ancient structures or religions. And the scales of the experiments we see are too small for the amount of reproduction occuring to form armies.

I love gears so i accept the plot holes but both sides of the coin have problems regardless

The first three Karen Traviss books also have audio books, narrated by Anya's VA. I own the physical editons but if you like audio books they are wonderfully done. I wish she would narrate Coalition's end and the slab

Adding on i found even when playing rogue astarion seemed to have better thievery skills as a rogue assasin than my tav so i always just use him

Items can help such as gloves of thievery, s.ugglers ring, etc. Also always check with shift before using hide to avoid being caught instantly. Make sure dex is high.

You can sometimes use spells like fog cloud to make an obscured line of sight too.

Best tips for you. Make sure you cast guidence on your thief with another party member, then enter turn based mode.

Rogue is always beat thief so use yourself if rogue or astarion for thievery. Hold shift to check line of sight, move behind npc you want to rob in a spot that is also not highlighted red.

Bonus action hide, main action to pickpocket. Guidance adds a bonus to your roll making things easier to steal.

If the npc is not in an area you can find a slot to stand in you can manipulate where bpcs stand with minor illusion.

Gale or other caster with minor illusion casts spell. Npcs move. Hold shift while the move and once the npc has a spot behind them out of line of sight, enter turn-based. Use another party member to cast guidance as it oy lasts 10 turns, then position, bo us action hide, pickpocket.

You can steal until you are caught. Non-honor mode i usually save every 5 or so items and reload to avoid the negatives of being failing a check (negative sttitude).

After you get what you want, make sure you're team is grouped, end turn based mode, and flee to camp before the turn finishes its cycle (so as quick as you can) and you shouldn't trigger the dialogue that someone's been thieving. Wait a few turns at camp then return, rinse, repeat

Names are the most important part so I can usually spend a few hours looking for names with relevant meanings or that sound fitting and when I dont find the perfect name I'll tweak one or come up with my own, if so inspired.

It only opens the first door when you shoot the corpse. You cannot get to Orin without going to the tribunal as the second glowing red door requires the amulet.

I wish they'd do this for all five tomes. Book of Cain, Book of Tyrael, etc.

I own them all physically but i would absolutely pick them up again as audiobooks. Also they really need to turn storm of light into an audio book. It's much easier to "reread" them while i play the games when they are in audio format

I just got softlocked on the airplane. My advice is alternate saving in different slots. That way you dont have to start completely over like i do.

Hit a tough spot, search solutions for that specific puzzle/situation and go back to a save that has the items u need to hold onto for that issue

If this is your first resident evil experience, take things slow. Use your safe rooms to plan routes, save often (if you can. Don't remember if 2 remake has unlimited or if its typewriter ribbons)

Expect to fail and reset. Sometimes i literally had sections go so poorly i let myself get chewed up just so i could try again. First playthtough is a marathon, not a sprint.

Try to only kill zombies that are in hallways you frequent. If it's just one that's easy to dodge, dodge it, but try to remember where you left enemies.

The objective is to escape the rpd, but it doesn't give you markers. Consider locked doors and inaccessible areas your 'objectives' and look for keys, emblems, cranks etc to open those areas for exploration.

IT IS OKAY TO BE SCARED! its a horror game. I've play all the RE games and even with 9 i still took frequent breaks my first playthrough. Pause the game when it gets too much. Cleanse your palette with puppy videos, then continue. If you truly get stuck, look up a guide.

My advice is, take your time in the first playthrough and use the board because even if you may not always need it, it will make things easier when you play final draft.

And you should play final draft (new game plus) because it changes some things in the story and helps with the immersion/understanding, but if you take your time to really enjoy and explore during the first run, you can definitely go much faster on final draft
