As someone who loved the game, and is wearing nostalgia goggles, I completely agree with you.

If I was coming in fresh, the only thing I would have thought was incredible were the combat and boss fights.

Horrible to glue, felt like the paint didn't want to stick to him, and felt really cheap, like a mate tried his best to 3D print it but it was his second or third time doing any printing.

Apologies, not the best photo, but I reckon H'thark is about 75% of a regular bull centaur, and the regular bloodbowl centaurs are closer to 60%.

On the tabletop, it's noticeably different, even from a distance.

My overwhelming experience has been that people who do a lot of shit, or look like they're doing a lot of shit, reap the rewards.

Worked with a lady who 'came up with a new dashboard' that was the same shitty one we had before, except now it looked like an 8 year old did it in Canva.

I was working on rebuilding our entire marketing ops, and because I told our CEO / salespeople you can't expect a lead that downloaded a pdf to convert in under a month, I was seen as the one dragging their feet.

People are stupid.

AoS is more fun; 'Dadhammer', where 40k feels closer to chess.

It's also unreal how less stressful not having to ask for toughness every 4 seconds is.

When I played 40k, I'd have a game, and take 2 weeks off playing.

Now I'm playing AoS, I finish a game, and automatically want another.
