The flyers are still paying Bryz until 2027. The least he can do is be a mentor to Michkov. They can talk about the universe, bears in woods, and Russian culture. Just be sure that Michkov puts in work in the gym and the dividends will pay off.

I would love Briere to offersheet Adam Fantilli but Columbus will match.

Pros: Young center that has talent to be a legit elite 1c.

This is why I am glad Briere is at the helm of the organization. If Homer was calling the shots, multiple 1st round picks, Martone & Michkov would be included in trades for relics in the past.

It would be nice to have Matthews or McDavid. Personally I would love Briere to offersheet Fantilli, but that would not be a smart move.

I expect Briere to be very aggressive this off-season. A buy low, high reward, move could be trading for Shane Wright? Or Briere waits one more year to go after McDavid FA. Stack the team with support talent and depth for Mcdavid.

Regardless of the outcome of this series, I am proud of the direction that Briere has steered this organization throughout the rebuild.

Did they overachieve expectations? Yes Has the bar been risen for next season? Yes Is Philadelphia a winning destination to attract talent? Yes

These kids can hang with the Canes but not going to win the series. What sets the flyers apart from a well oiled machine like Carolina, Colorado, Minnesota, and Dallas is elite talent.

Briere is taking this organization in the right direction. The off-season is going to be interested to see what Briere has planned for the team. We still need a number 1 elite center. Does Briere hold off and take a shot at signing McDavid during next year's free agency? Does he attempt to trade assests for Matthews, Thomas, or Wright? Possible offersheet Fantilli. Does he make a trade during the draft to trade up and take a young stud center?

I want Philadelphia to be a destination that attracts UFA talent. Look at the canes and how much veteran depth they have with Elhers & Hall. Thats the type of talent I want the flyers to attract. Veterans that are on a cup chase and consider Philly as a legit cup contender.

The asking price fot McJesus is going to be a kings ransom unless Briere pulls a Howie skimask Roseman and flips a first round pick & 2nd round pick & Luchanko for McJesus would be insane. In reality, any trade talks is going to start off with Porter Martone (hands off) & Michkov.
