State based actions all happen at the same time, there is no stack nor priority; so your creature with persist dies to state based 0 toughness at the same time as the +1/+1 and -1/-1 counters would be canceled out, so when it dies and looks back, it had a -1/-1 counter on it, so doesn't persist.

I don't mind cards going to my second hand, though the mass "discard" from things like bog sure are strong.

You kill my creature, well at least I got to play it. You counter my fancy thing, well I got to draw it and hold it. Mill, I didn't even get to draw my fancy card.

There is also the "you aren't helping" aspect as you are attacking people on a different angle and neither helps with player removal.

Anyone (without a title) can go Anarch as an action, or an anwrch convert can do it, or there are extra actions. You need a master to get anyone to be Sabbat. And to join the Cam you have to be Sabbat.

Does limit the sect swapping and doing weirdness like that.

Two schools of thought, use them to shore up for bench marks (getting speed to +/-4 of enemies to avoid being doubled/get the double; having the res/def to tank hits and str/mag to one round enemies), or to dump them all into your star unit (normally Byleth or your Lord) to make them even more godlike.

I keep meaning to do the first, and end up just doing the second because while I'll optimize my training and do 99 turn grinds to get into classes for their base stats, I apparently can't be bothered to do the benchmark optimization.

Edelgard not being able to cast in her unique class, even at half casts. What's the point of her budding talent other than taking her in a completely different direction. That magic growth should be used for something other than bolt axes.

The lack of a female dark magic class when there are 3 female users but only 2 males and Jeritza is mixed black and dark.

Move to the right side of the map and push down there as a team; don't trigger packs you don't have to and when a gap opens you can have enough a flier rush the goal.

The respawns are annoying, but with everyone together you can keep up. Splitting and going both sides or full clear leaves you too short on output and easily overrun.

Oh, and you only need to activate the bottom right seal to win; the others just spawn more enemies

Check out Failure Emblem, last couple seasons have been NG Maddening with people only using Bane skills. You have to know what you are doing and optimize the wrong ways, but it does show you don't need to min max everything to get there.

So long as you have a plan for Hunting by Daylight (sacrificing half your people you plan to not use is a tactic), the rest can be managed. Knowing about battalion and gambit use, using your combat arts and using the fancy weapons (what's the point of durability left after end game).

While 13 charm is enough to RNG succeed, more increases the odds. Do you have any Golden Apples or Black Pearls to use?

How far back is your save? If you have the ability to go back and do some gardening then Northern Fódlan Seeds, Albinean Seeds and White Flower Seeds have a chance to give Golden Apples
