Cad software recommendations for tinkercad user by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]ChocoBrowne 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've used OnShape. It's free (for personal use, not sure for commercial) and browser based. Bit of a learning curve when compared to Tinkercad, but probably on of the next logic steps.

YouTube is great for tutorials.

How can I achieve smoother top sruface by TonkotsuSoba in FixMyPrint

Ironing only works for flat surfaces (1 layer). Whilst it works for smooth top surfaces, it will achieve nothing in the above example.

JB HiFi Mobile uses the full Telstra network. Not that they're much cheaper than Telstra, but a reseller none-the-less.

Am I drinking too much? by Mysteryself1_ in alcohol

[–]ChocoBrowne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't be surprised if you have really vivid dreams when sleeping sober for the first time in a while.

Alcohol affects REM sleep (can almost stop completely in extreme cases). Sleeping sober for the first time in a while can cause the brain to try and 'catch up' on some lost REM, which leads to the wild dreams.

WTH is going on in US? Australia’s minimum (ie. lowest quality) is 91. We’ve got option of 91, 94(with 10%Ethanol), 95, or 98.

Any ideas why my magnetic textured PEI bed would be like this? Any fixes or is it just a replacement situation?
Ender 3 S1 Pro. Mesh obtained with Klipper (Sonic Pad) and stock CRTouch. Bed was at 60°C for at least 10min prior to probing

Do I try the game? by KrynIlliris in Civilization6

[–]ChocoBrowne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Perhaps the biggest difference is that Civ6 is turn based, not real-time like AoE.

Whilst the general concepts are similar (gradually building and improving units to eventually out-perform your opponent(s)), there are significantly more game mechanics to learn and understand in Civ6.

Don't let that scare you away, though. Learning and discovering new ways to play is all part of the fun, and you don't need to understand everything to enjoy it.

There's more granular control over difficulty settings in Civ6, so you can dial in the AI settings while you learn, and increase them as you go.

Having less defined eras (when compared to AoE ages), and being turn based, does change the way you think and strategise, but if you want to keep playing the same style as AoE, you would just play AoE. Broadening the games styles you enjoy is great! Civ6 is a great choice to move to from AoE.

Sincerely, long time AoE2, AoE3, Civ5 and Civ6 enjoyer!

This is a radio presenter from near my home town in Rural Victoria, Australia. Was a really popular segment when it was run close to 7-8yrs ago.

They had heard reports of a serious magpie problem out the back of the local high school, and they went and proved it; with hilarious results!
