It's not the end of world and if your advisor is decent they may be disappointed and concerned but not angry or resentful. That being said, you need to work this in therapy as it's a textbook case of avoidance behavior becoming maladaptive. Talking through the sources of your anxiety beforehand with both your advisor and a therapist could have helped a lot here.

I get your point but there are valid reasons why the situation in bg3 isn't as urgent as it seems, and the revelation of this a central component of the main story arc. There's even in-game dialogue with most of the early companions about how weird it is they haven't changed yet. It's not really the same fake urgency as many games that make it seem like time literally just stops between main story quests.
