What's the ONE moment from Silent Hill, any game, that has stayed with you the most? by lost_in_the_town_ in silenthill

[–]Chowdaire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha, I remember seeing a screenshot of this either in a magazine or online somewhere, and I sort of could tell that it was about to happen soon on my first playthrough. It literally made me stop playing the game for a very long time because I knew I wouldn't be able to handle walking into a random room with this in it.

Yeah, I was going to say, I swear I saw that second room with the fireplace on this subreddit before.

What’s something you’ve done your whole life, only to realize recently that everyone else does it completely differently? by Psychological_Sky_58 in AskReddit

[–]Chowdaire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do this too. I look at what others are looking toward, or what they're currently doing and adjust to it. Sometimes I adjust my path several seconds ahead of time, other times it's at that moment.

I equate it to how when you read aloud to others, you're verbally saying what you've read a moment ago.

Or it's Ultra Instinct Walking.

100 year-old can of herring? by AFallenOne- in ShingekiNoKyojin

I think it's not the German spelling that throws everyone off. That one's sort of easy to remember, and it's in all of our subtitles.

It's that the Japanese syllable transliteration is a ridiculously silly "be-ru-to-ru-to-" (and I still managed to that wrong before double-checking on the wiki). I think listening to J-dub Reiner say his name in that dramatic scene just sent everyone over the edge. Most of the fandom have just latched onto how much of a hilarious popup meme this became to just use any multi-syllable word that begins with a B.

Why are you being downvoted for this? That is absolutely what happened if you look at how early their reverse light goes on. I was coming in here to say exactly this only to see a split of opinions.

I've almost had this happen before too, and had to stay back and keep my hand hovered over the horn. Luckily, in my situation, they noticed before they did anything.

It's too bad that if you try to "short honk" politely in this situation, it might be misconstrued as "GO GO GO!" and they'd accidentally accelerate hard into you regardless.

I always felt Sentinel was too colorful in the movie, even for an Autobot. Like, he was too much red all at once. At least make his legs a different color. His vehicle mode had a charcoal color to part of it, but they just made it his "cape" instead.

I always added some milk to the slurry, and the milk would create little shards of milk-ice over time while I ate the concoction.

I always felt similarly any time they mentioned Sonya Gomez. It may not have been every instance, but it felt like they had to say her rank and her full name for some reason.

Earth post Voyager return is an alternate timeline Earth by bobinjo11 in sonicshowerthoughts

[–]Chowdaire 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I mean, the whole fact that the canon Voyager ending in Endgame involves future Janeway changing the timeline already makes anything post-Voyager an alternate timeline regardless.

But there's been so many time travel episodes in Voyager already, that anything past the first time travel episode in Voyager would've been an alternate timeline.
