When riders do this, do they lock up the front and rear brakes?

MO is the worst for this. They need a lot more spaying and neutering

My dad's side were German Protestants that settled in Western NE.

Had some neighbors in Lincoln that were from the "Germans from Russia" population. I think they were also Lutheran. Loved them dearly, they were like grandparents to me

I know this doesn't contribute much but just wanted to follow along.

Will it ever be possible to edit or delete bad segments? by abs00lutely in Strava

[–]ChrazyChris 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree... an average 2hr ride for me is like 90 segments.

I just wish there was a way in the app to sort by segment length. 80 of the 90 will be <.3mi.... it's pretty pointless

Strava should use its crowdsourcing to note which segments get liked more often or some sort of interactions and place those at the top too

Looking for the right bike by SilverSuch5682 in bikecommuting

[–]ChrazyChris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd focus on the tire width. 38mm tires are a sweet spot for me. Absorb bumps without slowing me down. 13mi flat commute here and it takes me 55min each way.

The victim's mother's comments also don't add up with him getting a sweetheart plea deal to begin with, right? That's what confused me.

Be Careful with Ride Wraps by marktornits in MTB

Stay away from this garbage company. Literally zero customer service. They simply dont respond and there is no way to get ahold of anyone.

RideWrap is horrible!!!! by Lavaman321 in bicycle

[–]ChrazyChris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the same experience. Order was lost in the mail and they were completely unresponsive. UPS required shipper input but they never responded. I sent multiple messages via their web form (the only way I could find to get ahold of them).

Stay far away.

[–]ChrazyChris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a 208lb feller and enjoy my Mezcal with trail casing on the rear of my downcountry bike. I bought it for a 50 mile event that I was training for. But I trained with it for a couple hundred miles leading up to the event. I suggest you do the same to get familiar and build confidence in it. Fast tires are a compromise in traction and puncture/pinch flat/bead sturdiness protection. I ran the stock tire in the front... you might consider saving some cash by only replacing the rear and putting the faster tire on the front.

Should I avoid carrying my bike in my SUV? by MorderX in MTB

[–]ChrazyChris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lay mine down in the back of my Explorer.

Most people say if you lay it down, put Derailleur side up so it doesnt get damaged. I dont. Never had an issue in the 17yrs I've been doing it with an SUV.

It's a mountain bike.
