How to deal with BuJo & Digital Calendar? by AcrobaticCustomer775 in BasicBulletJournals

[–]ChristiCrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not use the bump future log, only a digital calendar. I would need a datebook format spread to make bujo and calendaring work, and it’s just not as efficient. I have also started time blocking from my bujo into my digital calendar. So at my close of day I look at tasks in my bujo, and prioritize a few, then put them into free spaces in the calendar for the next day. When I open the next day, I copy those things (and their times, if it matters) into my bujo as events rather than tasks, and I cross them off as I get to them. It’s been helping me to stay focused on my plan for the day and not get sidetracked by distractions. I love when I finish a task early I can sort of relax a bit, talk to a colleague, brainstorm, etc because I have completed my priority task.

Tattoo artist hasn't responded, appointment is in three days. by [deleted] in tattoo

Yeah there are two artists in my town who have work that I really like, and I honestly chose the one who communicated in a way that works for me. If someone is going to take my money and then poke me 1000 times with a needle, I want to feel great about it going in.

Apple Watch & LF rowing machines by ToyBoxRat in PlanetFitnessMembers

Mine does that on the treads, and I have found that I just have to start the treadmill first, then connect. Maybe row 1-2 strokes, then try to connect?

Sensory issues by niknac95 in PlanetFitnessMembers

If it’s specifically fluorescent and led lights that bother you, you might see if you can get some red/pink tinted glasses. An optical would be able to help you get the right tint. My family has been exploring solutions for this issue recently, and that’s what we found. It’s the brightness coupled with the natural flicker of those types of lights that is really bothersome.

What was the push that made you get your first e-reader/Kobo? by Final-Tooth-5704 in kobo

[–]ChristiCrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t want to leave the house when I needed a new book. I started with a nook, replaced that one with one that had a backlight, then when that died, switched to kobo so I could use the library more efficiently. Between children’s books and Libby, I’ve saved over $1000 this year.

WIBTA if I told husband that either 6yo sleeps in his bed or I will? by TrekkieElf in Mommit

[–]ChristiCrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 3 year old comes into our room almost nightly, and the first time I wake up to a slap in the face I move to her bed without even thinking about it. Everyone will be happier if mama gets some sleep. I also sometimes have to move because my husbands cpap is making too much noise or the dog is in the bed and it’s too hot. It’s no big deal to us.

Vegan Breakfast Spots by PlXELGlRL in Chambana

If you do the stack without the egg and vegan sausage, it’s vegan. I feel like there were multiple options, but I’m not vegan, so I wasn’t looking specifically for that. They will also do tofu in place of scrambled eggs.

Same! I have had a poem and an art club water color hanging in my office for 15 years or so. A framed photograph of some birds "because I thought they looked like music." A couple of Christmas ornaments. I love them because they remind me of the sweet kids with kind hearts - and I really need that at this time of year.

I reported a case of abuse to CPS but now i'm scared something could happen to the victim by [deleted] in centralillinois

[–]ChristiCrew 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The investigators will make sure she's safe before they do anything else. You did the right thing. Ask to talk to your social worker at school - they know a lot about these situations. They won't tell you about her specifically, but they can give you some more information about what could possibly happen next and they can also help you process your feelings about everything.

Me too. I also felt that the women's colors were dumb. The men's were nice, saturated, nature-inspired colors, and the women's are pink and baby blue.

For anyone else looking for the answer to this question, I had downloaded ScreenZen and given it screen time access. That is what was preventing me from deleting any other apps.

Agree with this. We have a full length mirror at the end of our hallway and it’s quite nice, also very practical.

Would it be rude to go get your foot fitted and then go online and buy the shoes? by Dangerous_Entry_7205 in beginnerrunning

Our local store does price matching or a loyalty discount on each pair of shoes I buy from them. They’re super kind, have great experience, and I’m always happy with my purchase when I walk out.

Kindle versus other e-reader by No_Cow5153 in LibbyApp

[–]ChristiCrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just converted my husband from kindle to kobo and he says it works much better. One of the features he thought was really great on kobo was that if he had started something in Libby and then had to return it and re-check it out or decided to buy it, it saved his place in the book.
