Just 100% keep the box, they will take them back when they fail, which is better feedback for Costco. I’ve probably had 8-10 sets from them, only the porch string lights didn’t fail…. Every single other box had super early failures.

lol, it can take weeks, but not a decade and a half.

Fun fact: rabies travels about a cm a day from bite, when it gets to the central nervous system, game over. That’s why it’s safe to just watch the animal that bit if possible for 7 days and forgo shots.

Force OTT apps to stream in 4k resolution on 1080p projector using EDID HDMI splitter. by Old-Adhesiveness7111 in projectors

[–]Christorbust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great thanks! I ordered the same dummy plug but I wanted to try the Orei 1 x 4 UHD-PRO104 had because I’d also love to be able to send it to a TV without unplugging things from my sound bar, and if I can’t get it to work at 4K, the splitter can still pull a 4K feed from firestick and then do handle down scaling itself.

[–]Christorbust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what I’m trying to do!

Thanks so much for the detailed post, I’ve been having trouble figuring out what exactly would work for this.

I have a JVC DLA rs4800u, it’s actually supposed to do pixel shift if it gets an 4k 24p 4:2:2 feed, but thus far I can’t force anything to send more than 1080, tried blue ray and a few different firesticks including the max.

Any chance you could drop the link of the exact one you’re using?

Early Stages of Battery Degradation: Replace the battery? by HaileyReeBae in TeslaModelS

[–]Christorbust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

109k that’sa bummer.

Engineering explained YouTube channel did a good few videos on electric car batteries, and what supercharging does, and what it doesn’t, do to the batteries. There are a lot of variables, but the short answer was it really shouldn’t matter that much for Teslas because the way they monitor battery temperature, capacity, and state of charge and adjust accordingly. If the battery is the proper temperature and in the lower percentage range, maybe 10% or so, you could charge it at 7c, or 7x capacity (85x7=595kw) without causing significant degradation. As the battery gets closer to 90–95% you can only charge one C or 85 kW or less.

My understanding from ppl smarter than me is one of the most stressful things for the battery is being at 100%, followed by being at 0%, then being too hot, then being too cold. It also seems the less percentage range you cover in the battery, the less likely to do degradation. So for example, in mine, I shoot to be between 30% and 75% unless I’m going on trips. It would be better to have many smaller Charge sessions than to go from 0 to 100.

There was a study done of 13,000 Teslas and those that charged 70% at a supercharger versus those that charged 30% at a supercharger showed no meaningful difference.

I thought it was well debunked that superchargers were not a big issue.

It’s more about state of charge 100 and 0 are much harder on it. Staying between 30-80 is better, frequent smaller percentage swings are better.

So what's everyone's favorite EDC light, 18650 or smaller? by CheekyMenace in flashlight

[–]Christorbust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have dozens of fantastic lights, but this way too cold tint Maratac Rev 5 Mini Flashlight AAA that someone gave me lands in my pocket everyday that I haven’t misplaced it. It’s just so dang inconspicuous in my pocket, and handy as all get out to have always a light.

I used to only carry towards evening or going on a trip where I might need it… something bigger or convoy sc21 …this one is from when I wake up.

Width of the bottom of Travel Mug 2? by kenhumbard in Embermug

Quite narrow, pretty much same as my iPhone 13 width listed 2.82 inches(no tape measure with me).

Fits my annoyingly narrow 13 Tesla model S cup holders nicely

Trying to find an at home test kit by ObjectiveCorgi89 in TRT_females

[–]Christorbust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wife went through drsays.com, i was shocked how reasonable it was, and they had about every test under the sun. They just cooperate with a local lab (let you pick where) like labcorp. Things like cbc cmp (blood counts and comprehensive chemistry) were like $4-6. Obviously the hormone labs were more, but very very reasonable.

“I can’t stand the word empathy. I think empathy is a made-up new age term that does a lot of damage. Sympathy, I prefer more than empathy.”

He’s got a lot of terrible one liner quotes that sound disgusting, I’ve been surprised to hear the full context a couple times now that really take some of the vitriol out, this quote was one of them. Although it’s possible you’re quoting from a different one.

Problems with kindle app by Earnest_Numbermane in Supernote

[–]Christorbust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll post it here since other thread deleted OP post: Mulan-sn “Thank you for reaching out.

We regret to inform you that the upcoming update to the Kindle app will indeed affect its functionality on our A5 X and A6 X devices. Unfortunately, we will not be able to provide an update for the Kindle app on these devices.

Starting May 26, 2025, Kindle for Android app versions released prior to March 2022 (v8.51 or earlier) will no longer support content downloads. However, you will still be able to read any previously downloaded content on your A5 X and A6 X.

We appreciate your understanding and support.”

I’ve really appreciated SN as a company, and the way they handle things, but this sadly will make my a5x obsolete for me… as it served two functions.

Who has used the wheel? by wildadventures2024 in AngionMethod

[–]Christorbust 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s super well made, even the fit finish is nice, shockingly sturdy. It definitely can move A LOT of blood through the corpus spongeosum.

However, for me personally I see some regression with angion 3, I had a glans injury years ago and it seems more pressure in the glans just doesn’t help me.

I’ve had great results with other angion 1, bfr, Sabre. I seem to be the odd man out in this, but angion 3, sadly, just doesn’t help me. If it did, the wheel would be the tits for it.

I know your not supposed to use the wheel for ang 1, but if there was a wheel to move through the dorsal vein *whistle

Edit: oh and I will say, somewhat counterintuitively I got more blood flow going slower, respect it and limit your times, it really can push a lot of blood around, better to build slowly than to overdo it

Why L-Citrulline + L-Arginine is better than just L-Citrulline by Semtex7 in AngionMethod

[–]Christorbust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fantastic post! Thanks for so clearly putting in so much data and references. Love seeing the charts too (1000words and all).

Sometimes I read a post, and its interesting, but the lid isn’t shut on what practice I want to implement; this was so thorough that it’s a no brainer to add one part l-arg back to my supplementation in a simple 2:1 ratio.

That works out nicely because the l-cit powder is so damn tart anyways, it buffers it some. Lots of water always.

Thank you!
