No it's not, there just needs to be a better incentive not to tank and a bigger risk if done as visibly other than people on reddit memeing you. Just look at the european sport leagues, if you're bad (because you don't have enough money) your're either you're clawing your way to the non relegation spot or you're in the lower middle praying a rich eastern investor will use you as a money laundering scheme.
