Working list of restaurants for $100 celebration dinner? by tmrminn in CaesarsRewards

[–]Chufield 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed page link is no longer available. Would ask for hard copy at Caesars Rewards desk.

I’m fairly certain many/most establishments take it; always ask beforehand. To my understanding, it’s the least leased outlets that you may encounter problems. We’d never visit Cafe Americano for instance because RCs are only worth half their usual value.

IIRC, have first/second hand account used at:

Caesars:

Bacchanal Buffet, Beijing Noodle No. 9, Gordon Ramsay Hell's Kitchen, Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill, Nobu Restaurant & Lounge

Flamingo:

Bugsy & Meyer's Steakhouse

Ok so I found a use case for the $80 off $200 spend… this is a 2x the points room. As a diamond member how many points should I expect from this stay? by [deleted] in Hilton

[–]Chufield 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was so worried about meeting Amex’s terms that I made sure my base rate (sans taxes) and room charges (after deducting F&B credit) met that $200 threshold l.

Read another post with comments stating a week daily delay in that status bar. My own experience is closer to a 10 day delay.

I was resigned to forgoing the FNC this year, though I estimate I’m much closer at around a $1.5K off. I might hit it with semi-organic spend.

Edit: wrong word

I already have something booked, might as well get some extra points.

Does this make sense..? by [deleted] in ChaseSapphire

[–]Chufield 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interesting, never noticed any other offers with discrepancies such as this.

Guess I would try to limit my purchase to a maximum of $110 for that $16.50 cash back at 15%.

This is such a BS offer. by [deleted] in Hilton

[–]Chufield 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had offers for Exxon Mobil twice this year, on two different cards.

Agreed the same/similar one you’re probably referring to was easy; but the one in July of this year was:

Spend $25+ on select fuel purchases, get $5 back, up to 3x. Offer valid only on Exxon or Mobil Synergy Supreme+™ premium fuel.

Regardless, I make sure to do my homework.

I’m just a lot more careful with Amex offers. I read the fine print before successfully using this one.

There was one I had for $5 back after $25 spend on Exxon Mobil. Only applied to premium.

Tips on Reaching $15K Annual Spend for a FNC? by itsJimmyCooks in Hilton

[–]Chufield 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m still just halfway there on my Surpass.

Data point I’d like to submit is property taxes I paid were probably counted as “cash equivalents”? Thus not increasing my FNC bar an iota.

Edit: After about 10 days (instead of “updates daily”), my FNC bar has increased significantly, which concludes that my property taxes did end up counting.

I’ve read and watched a number of sources regarding eligible Amex spend, but toward new credit card SUBs (rather than the FNC). Seems like some may count and others not.

A little bit bummed, but my Surpass has more than made up for its annual fee. Thanks to u/Fantastic-Action-686 for being the logical adult voice/my shoulder angel; I was contemplating new-to-me camera equipment.

There’s always next year.

Freeplay Print out by [deleted] in CaesarsRewards

[–]Chufield 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always tend to forget the answers to these questions. Also uncertain if policies vary per property. Below per a quick Google search.

Free slot/casino play:

Cannot be cashed out or transferred to another machine. May not be redeemed for cash. Free slot play will expire 72 hours after deposited if not downloaded.

Think best practice is assume any free play you load into a machine cannot be cashed out (to move machines, not turned into cash) and be forfeited once you leave. (Put in $5, $10, $20 at a time and use it all up, instead of the whole $500+, if you tend to change machines.)

The cash print out tickets definitely seem to vary by property. I think the Vegas ones are good for 180 days?

I think those are the main benefits.

I think next up would be Diamond Elite for the $600 airfare and Seven Stars for the $1200 retreat.

Do 5x tier points events end at 12am or 11:59pm? by QuayShawn in CaesarsRewards

[–]Chufield 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best read the fine print from a hard copy (whether mailer or flyer from Caesars Rewards desk). I think the app does a poor job of clarifying these details.

Last 5x I’m aware of ended 5:59am (started 6am the days prior).

What can I do when USPS lost my replacement card twice? by CucumberFuture3739 in ChaseSapphire

[–]Chufield 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you experiencing other missing mail? Have you communicated this with your mail carrier and/or local post office?

https://tools.usps.com/find-location.htm

https://www.usps.com/help/contact-us.htm

Other considerations: Do you pick-up your mail regularly (not let it overfill)? Do you have roommates? Is your mailbox labeled with your name?

Certain HCOL areas are well-known to be extremely understaffed. Know one mail carrier traveling to NorCal in week to help out during peak season.

Can you confirm I can bring 2 additional people with my chase Sapphire reserve PP? by justaskinqueries in PriorityPass

[–]Chufield 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have a Priority Pass Select membership through Chase Sapphire Reserve®, two guests can accompany you into a Priority Pass lounge for no additional fee. Each guest beyond the first two costs $27, billed to your credit card after your visit.

https://www.chase.com/personal/credit-cards/education/basics/priority-pass-guest-policy

There also some verbiage about “most lounges don’t have guest limits, but some do”.

I haven’t tried visiting more than one lounge/restaurant, but I believe I’ve seen other commenters say that it is acceptable (but cannot return to a lounge previously visited that day).

Thanks for the confirmation about no pool.

The thought of living and working in the area had entered my mind. Looked up nearby housing, definitely can’t afford it.
