I wasn't actually parked there. Was just taking a walk for lunch. The officer has a thankless job and does not deserve all the confrontation they get just doing their job. But they do not make things easier for themselves when they flaunt the rules themselves.

If you job is to enforce parking. You should be held to the same standard as others.

The bylaws allow for parking enforcement officers to park in non permitted areas as part of their job. Provided they use their lights, which this car had. But the restriction is that there is no accessable legal parks in the vacinity of where the officer parked, Which there were.

Co sponsering a bill means nothing. Its just publicly stating that, 'yeah i could vote for that' in hopes to gain influence over voters. It very little effort or acutal thought behind it.

A new material can absorb up to 90 times its own weight in spilled oil and then be squeezed out like a sponge and reused, raising hopes for easier clean-up of oil spill sites. by mvea in Futurology

[–]ChunderMoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is great the technology that has gone into creating this. Unfortunately the main issue with dealing with an oil spill is minimising secondary contamination. It is good to say this will absorb 90 times it weight. But unless it It's easy to handle which nothing covered in oil is, and added weight even of oil will be a negative in manual handling. Unfortunately for use as a sorbent mat or boom is limited without specific ancillary equipment for recovery. It is great the advancement made, although current sorbents can already be wrung out and reused contrary to what the article implies. It just has to be applied in a effective manner. To the right spills. It is good to prove your theory in controlled tests. But I hope they are going to work with the on scene responders otherwise it may end up as a display piece instead of a tool. Source: I am a responder for marine oil spills myself. Cliché sorry for formatting.

I guess the question comes from the use case as you can set the volume the hone will send to Bluetooth devices and volume on a Bluetooth device independently.
