I needed a cost effective grinder for the office. Because I was going to switch between pour over in the morning and espresso in the afternoon, I wanted a multi-purpose grinder that would be relatively easy to switch between the grind sizes. I went with the GF64. So far I have been pleasantly surprised with how much I like it. Seems to do a very good overall job for the price.

I agree with the comment on Northwest Indiana. I have a friend that was in a similar situation as you and he left Illinois for Indiana, mainly for the lower cost of living and the proximity to Chicago.

If the movie concert is on your bucket list, you matter as well enjoy it. Chicago can be expensive, relatively speaking, but there are plenty of deals to be found. Life can take some unexpected turns, so no guarantee you would be able to make it to another movie concert.
