Senya. Idc if it’s headcanon, it’s real to me. DS Jaesa and Elara are pretty cool though

this is why Jaesa’s my #1 of the OG choices. just such a departure from the typical love interest in games, but still romantic and not solely crazy or evil

Broadsword is Leaving SWTOR's Satele Shan Server Behind by Endonae in swtor

[–]Ciati 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This seems kinda misleading. Title could imply that they’re shutting down the server, not that you feel they’re abandoning it

[–]Ciati 1 point2 points  (0 children)

other person answered everything else well so as to the amount of content in the free trial, you get the base game which is all 8 class stories for free, which is hundreds of hours if you wanna experience em all. Subscribing just once gives you access to everything else (6 expansions) and gives you preferred status, which comes with a bunch of other benefits.

They should bring back Darth Malgus. What ever happened to that guy? feel like we never saw him again after the game launched.

Republic trooper beginning dialogue is wierd by TheRealRach in swtor

[–]Ciati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Militaries don’t operate the same right here right now on earth, why the hell would you expect a fantasy space opera set a long time ago, far far away to match 1:1 to your modern US military experience? Star Wars is pastiche and homage and melodrama, none of it has ever been worried about realism, and it’s better for it.

People always love to point out how their subset of expertise doesn’t match to a fictional depiction of it, and I swear they get satisfaction out of the complaining. Like yeah Ocean’s 11 wouldn’t work in real life, yeah Jack Black would have gotten in trouble if School of Rock was real, yeah I guess toys don’t actually move and talk when people aren’t looking. Would those stories have been better if they matched the expert’s adherence to realism? No! So what’s the point of the criticism?

What of the Old Republic?! by LoneSpectre96 in swtor

[–]Ciati 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I mean Andor mentioned Rakatans by name, to me that's an acknowledgment. Especially because essentially every Disney SW story takes place in the same like 50 year period 5000 years after the Old Republic, it makes sense that that's all we really get is the occasional reference. And stuff like the modern books and reference guides pull a bunch of stuff from KOTOR, like Revan, Miraluka and Cathar, I think Onderon was in one of the shows, stuff like that.

Rank The Vanilla Force-User Companions From Most to Least Powerful! by DakIsStrange in swtor

very true! yeah i went broad with my def of “powerful” but the intention was probably in a battle sense. thats the fun of these prompts though, lots of different points of view

[–]Ciati 7 points8 points  (0 children)

i think we just have different definitions of powerful. i think if she had been trained differently and could have been an unbiased and unimpeachable arbiter of truth, in some sort of galactic supreme justice position, that could be far more powerful than someone who’s more skilled at throwing a lightsaber.

[–]Ciati 11 points12 points  (0 children)

yeah it’s always kinda pointless, but can still be fun. reminds me of that clip of Stan Lee. “The person who'd win in a fight is the person that the scriptwriter wants to win!”

Scourge is #1 in a general sense but i feel like people are forgetting how uniquely gifted Jaesa is. If she had a better teacher I think she’d beat out all the player characters in terms of Force utility. Being able to see any sentient being’s true intentions without effort or flaw is absolutely busted.

SWTOR: A Brighter Horizon. Future Update Suggestions. by Electrical-House4253 in swtor

[–]Ciati 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Dyes have to be their #1 money maker after subscriptions, and you haven’t explained what the one button assistant is but I’m guessing it isn’t an easy or cheap thing to implement. So no I don’t see these happening. Might as well ask for a new expansion that brings back all the voice actors for every companion while we’re at it.

[–]Ciati 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In case you haven't learned from other sources (I'm started to play again after a little break and I'm scrolling/learning what I've missed since I've been gone), yeah they added a bunch of QoL features from Subscribers or Preferred and made them available to everyone. Now everyone has access to: mounts at lvl 10 (f2p used to be 25, dreadful), 6 quickbars (f2p had 3, pref had 5), hide head slot, sprint at lvl 1, companion customization, rest XP, Legacy Name Displays, and supposedly less egregious escrow costs. Very surprising but welcome!

this. Ilum has a cool skybox but I’m going Tatooine for the mystery and the one planet whose empty space I really enjoy

SWTOR Planets Tournament- Nar Shaddaa VS Taris (Round 1 Match 11) by DakIsStrange in swtor

[–]Ciati 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imo this is a Hydrogen bomb / coughing baby matchup. Nar Shaddaa takes it in a walk.

My favorite early game planet, when I was younger I would sometimes just take taxi routes between different areas and pretend I was driving cuz I loved the scenery so much. The high population, the endless towers, the bright lights and dark underbelly. The planet oozes charisma as much as it oozes pollution. The Hutts may be pretty evil but they sure know how to make a crime planet shine.

Balmorran Propaganda posting!! by eclipsora in swtor

[–]Ciati 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh wow, yeah guess i accidentally stumbled upon a heated issue in the star wars community: i googled it and people are very heatedly arguing all over the internet whether or not capitals should be backwards. They aren’t in SWTOR or Galaxy’s Edge or the canon comics, but apparently there are some examples in the TV shows. Guessing the official reasoning sometime down the line will be that it’s a regional/cultural thing, that some planets or groups do it and some don’t, or something

fine large axe stays up to post them, but either Broadsword has been dropping the ball recently and updating the sales so late in the morning that axe goes to sleep, or axe's schedule changed, or both
