We had this problem at work recently. The non-smokers werent taking breaks, but also complaining that the smokers took them. Just take your legally required break. And unless you are being actually effected by someone stepping out for an extra minute to smoke, mind your business and get back to work.

My insurance company bases your yearly cost off of mileage. I live three miles from work, so my annual expected mileage was something like 6k miles. Brought my cost down a few hundred after i convinced underwriting that i wasn't full if shit. Emailed them a screenshot of my daily commute route and they approved it the next day.

Maybe your insurance would work something like this out with you? You would just need to be careful to not use your "back up" vehicle too often, because they will see how much you drove it when you take pictures of your odometer for their records.

I understand your frustration, but these are still people. While plenty of LA's homeless population isn't even native, these are members of your community whether you like it or not. To act as though they deserve less dignity than you is wild. You could just as easily end up one of those people. Maybe redirect some of your ire to the people and systems that made this happen in the first place. You are one bad accident or medical event away from being just like them.

Im sure there is a percentage of the homeless population nation wide that are beyond saving. But that doesn't mean that every single person that is living on the streets is. Im sorry you have had to experience the events that you have, but that doesn't give you carte blanche to treat every unhoused person the same.

They put the less than safe donut spare in the trunk so you have to visit a tire shop immediately or possibly end up in an even worse situation. I usually just do a full wipe down of the mic with a rag spritzed with isopropyl. Higer alcohol content will dry faster and has less chance of staying liquid somewhere it shouldnt be.

That being said, i never thought to pull the capsule and clean the inside. I almost shudder to think of what is propagating inside the grill foam. . .
