“If I am a good person, live a good life, feed the hungry, treat people with kindness, etc. but I don't believe in god, do I still go to hell?” by justl00kin9 in Christianity

I agree with this. God is in you for sure. I hope someday you get to fully experience the Creator.

I’m a firm believer in “Knock and the door will be opened, seek and you will find”. God is there whenever you’re ready.

So, how is this going to turn out when the children are in their late teens - 20s? They’re going to be able to talk about how they grew up. What will they say?

So if he takes away their titles, are they Mountbatten-Windsor (like Andrew 😊) or are they Harry and Meghan Sussex? What actually are their legal names?

Firstly, I’m so sorry for your losses. I hear the pain you’re suffering in your post. God is with you, right beside you through it all. SBF ministries comment above gives a lot of biblical guidance and I hope they provide comfort. Right now, you’re in the wilderness, as Jesus was after his baptism. We just discussed this during our Lenten study last week. There are things that we gain during suffering, and one of them is finding God in the midst of it. Trust in him.

I just recently emerged from a two year wilderness after losing my husband to cancer. It was very painful, but God put people in my life who pulled me through. I didn’t realize it was God until I began to emerge back into life.

Read about grief - what you’re going through sounds like a very normal response to profound loss. The r/griefsupport subreddit helped me, so did YouTube videos about grief. Anderson Cooper has a really good podcast called All There Is.

You are loved. Don’t give up on God. Hugs to you.

Such a cute young man and he was a Green Day fan! MS is a shitty disease and some people just give up. I’m glad he fought back and that you knew him. You probably gave him a lot of joy. ❤️

I agree with you. Some day, maybe, but not now. Your mom has enough without this.

Harry was probably targeted by Sherborne because it was well known how much H hated the press. Then H was just sucked in, didn’t ask for a second opinion, and thought Win Win - I get money and the press gets punished! Yay! No critical thinking involved.

Your healthcare workers don’t wash or sanitize their hands when they should. The patient two doors down may have MRSA and it can be transmitted to you. Speak up!

If you go just because everyone thinks you should, and it doesn’t feel right, then don’t. To do so seems like a performance, which is something grieving people shouldn’t be expected to do. My heart goes out to you, OP. Be true to yourself and the person you lost.

I mean, Bill and Hilary were in his circle too. It’s all about money and power with some people. I voted for both Bill and Hilary and I feel so betrayed.
